Brentford dug in well coming up with an incredibly professional performance to beat Bristol City 1-0. Both goalkeepers earned their corn - especially in the first half. With hotshots Scott Hogan and Tammy Abrahams both being denied certain goals.
But it took a cracking goal from Maxime Colin to separate the two sides. His thunderbolt taking a HUGE deflection to see the Bees take three points from Ashton Gate for the third match in a row.
We spoke to fans after the match ... but technical problems means we also ended up discussing the game a lot amongst ourselves ....

Brentford rolled up their sleeves against Burton - 3 points were essential for the Bees to get their season back on track.
A Scott Hogan brace saw the Bees nab all three points against a competitive Burton and useless referee.
We spoke to fans in the pub after the match.

After losing to Norwich 5-0, there was a hell of a lot to discuss as the Beesotted crew met in The Madhatter Hotel in Stamford St near The South Bank just South of the River.
Brentford fans at the Norwich match were clearly angry with the team’s display and lack of action then to rectify a team that was failing to pump on all cylinders - never mind one.
They discussed the team’s display, why we were so impotent, whether we were lacking in experience and leadership, had Smith lost the dressing room or were the players just not playing for the shirt. Also, with the heated discussions in the dressing room after the match, did we have another ‘Stevenage moment’ - a replica of the moment when Brentford lost to bottom of the table Stevenage and had a 90 minute heated exchange in the dressing room .. a moment in time that turned then manager Uwe Rosler’s season around from hanging n a thread to unbeaten run?
We also discussed the rumours of Danish Coach Thomas Frank who was touted by Danish media to be joining Brentford’s coaching staff imminently.
Pls there was the £400k price tag put on John Egan - a bargain at half the price was the common consensus. With the prospect of Danel Bentley’s tribunal settling for £750k or so, is our ‘bargaining hunting’ paying off? Does the scouting team always get it right?

Brentford went to Carrow Rd hoping to buck their terrible run against a Norwich team who were on an even worse run.
However the Bees failed to turn up - being smashed off the park 5-0.

It's the battle of the two out of form Championship teams this weekend, when the Bees head to Norfolk to take on Norwich City, who have lost five on the spin. Brentford should be confident of an upset however, and if the comments made by the Canary on this week's podcast are anything to go by, Dean Smith's team will be heading home with a three point haul. This week's podcast was recorded deep, deep in THUGBY territory, but thanks to the staff at The Cabbage Patch in Twickenham for thief excellent hospitality.
Guests this week are: Dave Lane, Matt Allard, Martin Holland, Nick Carthew and Savvy Bee #brentfordfc #norwich city
