  • 243: Brentford 1 Birmingham City 2 - post-match podcast from the pub

Brentford desperately needed to get back onto winning ways. How best to get their confidence back but by beating an in-form Birmingham City.

But an early penalty from Clayton Donaldson had the Bees on the back-foot. And despite absolutely dominating the game, missed opportunities and great goalkeeping from the Brentford keeper ensured that the Bees went down 2-1.

We spoke to Brentford and Birmingham fans in the pub after the match.

  • 242: Jota and Gogia Come Home? Birmingham City Pre-Match Podcast from the Pub

Brentford look to put the disappointing result up at Blackburn behind them where the giants of the North West had their game plan totally sorted at the weekend - battering the Bees with high balls into the area that they failed to cope with - the Bees losing 3-2 in the end.

Bring on Birmingham City. Doing very well in The Championship which should hopefully play in Brentford’s favour - the Bees seemingly able to combat the better teams in the league whilst losing to the lower teams.

The Beesotted crew linked up at the Tap On the Line pub smack bang in Kew Gardens Station to discuss Jota out of favour at Eibar … Gogia scoring goals for Dynamo Dresden … should they both be coming back to Brentford at a time when we are itching for creativity in our side. are these the last few months of seeing Hogan in red and white stripes? .. plus what does Brentford do in the forthcoming transfer window … plus outgoing B-Team manager Fleming Pederson - who seems to be doing a grand job - is back on the agenda. Is his leaving going to be a massive loss for Brentford where he seems to have knocked the B team into shape big time.

  • 240: No More League 3; B team players 1st team players? How did Brentford fare in the Price of Football Survey? - Blackburn Rovers pre-match podcast from the pub

Blackburn are up next for Brentford as the international break has been put well and truly to bed. And for the Bees, its not been a bad window at all. Whilst the first team have had their slippers on, the B Team has gone on to beat Manchester United, Wigan and Dundalk in the past 7 days to really move some of their young players into contention for Championship team action.

The Beesotted crew linked up in The George IV pub in Chiswick to shoot the breeze. And they chatted bout the new Brentford badge (aka Wasp-gate), the abolition of the idea of League 3 (The Whole Game Solution) and the contradiction of the football league fining teams for fielding youngsters in the CheckATrade trophy. TV matches and the ridiculousness of Newcastle’s switch to the Monday. The B team’s victory against Dundalk with the rumours flying around of a few players we were scouting from them. Plus we look forward to the match at Blackburn at the weekend.
