Jay Seegert is co-founder and principal lecturer of the Creation Education Center. Jay was raised in a strong Christian home but his interest in apologetics and creation science was first stirred while he was attending college and being instructed by many evolutionists and atheists. It was during this time that he wrote his first paper on creation science and gave his first lecture.

Paul Wilkinson serves as associate minister at Hazel Grove Full Gospel Church in Stockport, England. Paul is an international conference speaker, writer, and contributor to Christian television, radio, and documentaries. He has studied and lectured at the International School of Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem.

Jiovanne Del Cristo is the youth pastor of Living Word Youth Ministries and co-founder of the Red Letters Dialogues, an independent organization that offers a Gospel-based outreach whose goal is to cut through the confusion of secular humanism that has entered the church and the world and threatens to destroy the faith of many. A graduate of Living Word Bible Academy, Jiovanne regularly contributes written social commentary examining the temporal and eternal consequences of departing from the truth of the gospel and the benefits of adhering to God’s Word.

In this part two of our program where I’m talking with Jay Seegert, and talking about what Christians believe about creation vs. evolution. And I don’t know, maybe you’re thinking, “Well, come on, we’re all on board with creation.” But as we’ve been discussing and discussed last week (so I hope you go to our archives and listen to part one), that’s not necessarily the case. And I love talking to Jay. He’s out and about in his presentations all around the country dealing with Christians, addressing things, explaining things, and it’s really important. But his heart, which is what I loved, is even though he has degrees in physics and engineering, his heart is the B-I-B-L-E, the Word of God, which, as we mentioned last week - as he said - that’s where it’s got to start. Because God said that He did create these things, and certainly the proofs - a whole other program - but the proofs that God’s Word is indeed God’s Word, one of the major proofs is prophecy, okay? He claims throughout Isaiah that only He knows the beginning from the end, and He challenges the false gods.

Today and next week, we’re going to talk about creation and evolution, and what most Christians think and believe about the issues. I say “think and believe” because many if not most who call themselves Christians haven’t settled the issues in their minds, and therefore many are confused at least. So we’re going to discuss what such confusion does to one’s faith in the Scriptures, and consequently, the effect is has on a person’s trust in the Lord.
