Russia is in the midst of an assault on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. This isn't a frontier border offensive, Kharkiv is the 2nd largest city in Ukraine, located in the northeast of the country near the Russian border. As the war drags on into another summer, western weapons and NATO funding for military and humanitarian aid are pouring into the country to stave off Russia's aggression. Now, the White House is giving the green light for Ukraine to use our weapons to strike targets inside of Russian territory. Long range deep strike attacks are still a no-go, as President Biden is trying to prevent a direct confrontation between America and Russia. But the strategy of an all-defensive war just isn't working.
