The 12-team playoff is rewarding college football with 10 great games down the stretch involving the 23 current power conference teams with two losses or fewer. The shift to this format has created the ideal stakes for a large amount of teams -- so let's not screw it up. On this Rants episode of The Bill and Doug Show, Doug Lesmerises looks at the best games left in the playoff race, then he takes some of the Heisman discussion around Fernando Mendoza to task and explains how the Heisman will really shake out, and then he reminds everyone to avoid SEC quarterback Heisman favorites in the preseason. Thanks for joining The Bill and Doug Show.

If Oregon wants to continue to compete at the top of college football, going to Iowa on Saturday and taking care of business is what the Ducks need to do to prove they are a truly elite program. But many great teams have gone to Kinnick Stadium and struggled with Kirk Ferentz and the Hawkeyes. On this episode, Doug and Bill break down that game as well as BYU-Texas Tech, Washington-Wisconsin, USC-Northwestern, Notre Dame-Navy and Virginia-Wake Forest. Thanks for joining The Bill and Doug Show each Friday for national college football breakdowns.

It's all OL, so you know Bill is happy. Thanks for joining The Bill and Doug Show. For more Ohio State coverage, check out their Substack page at billanddougosu.substack.com
