After that Jim once again performs the last Profanasaurus live and Lee reveals a Shitty Superhero that wouldn’t be out of place on a shelf in Rymans. Then its time for the main event, a desperate trip into four corrupted psyches as they relive the horror, the excess, the sheer amount of class A illegal substance abuse that went into the creation of the dreaded Star Wars Holiday Special

Oh no… They went and did it! The Blackdog boys went and reviewed Jonathan Frakes’ Thunderbirds… Oh the humanity! But not before Lee & Darren recount a surprise event, talk Star Trek, Angry Birds, Man of Steel and Tom Cruises live action version of Wall*E *ahem* I mean Oblivion. Then Jim fills us in with some clergy bothering profanasaurus and Lee gets horticultural with this weeks shitty superhero.

In this weeks episode we discover where not to put a hair-drier, what a white Russian tastes like, how to bowl in a cinema and how exhausted two pod-casters can sound after 3 hour wrestling with technical rubbish. There’s some news, a profanasaurus from Jim Moon and a Shitty Superhero double bill simply because both entries are so profoundly boring there’s barely enough to laugh at. Then its on to review the gangster black comedy Sexy Beast.

In this weeks cast, Lee and Darren are joined by Herc Araclides as they discuss such varied topics as world domination through Bee tracking for Microsoft, dressing up as Santa and wandering the wilds of Kendal, looking for mint cake. There is some news about the next installment in the X Men franchise as well as hints about who could be the next big bad in next years Star Trek film. Then after a sugar powered shitty superhero and another entry from Jim Moon and his profanasaurus we get to talking about The Dude, german nihilists, pomeranians and bowling as we rereview The Big Lebowski.

This week we hear about Lee & Darrens adventures in Birmingham, Lee’s movember participation and subsequent awkward romantic street interlude. After that we have another Profanasaurus from the excellent Jim Moon and a rather colourful (yet incredibly dull) shitty superhero. Then its on to this weeks Rose Tinted Specs, something delayed by the previous weeks Bond Special. The Hugo Weaving starring adaptation of Alan Moores seminal V for Vendetta.

Welcome to the second part of the Black Dog Podcast James Bond Special. In this extra inappropriate episode, the Bond review crew of Lee, Darren, Jim Moon and Danny Graydon all try hard to not get sued and review, in context, Goldfinger. Is it really the best Bond of the series? Is Sean Connery really the best Bond? Is there any depths to which we wont sink? How on earth do you review a film like a sex pest?

In this part of the two part Bond episode Lee and Darren are joined by the awesome Jim Moon and the highly inappropriate Danny Graydon. As they discuss all aspects of Bond and his 50 year legacy. In addition, they talk Star Wars 7 rumours, Books, new jobs for Carrie Fisher and shitty superheroes that will raise spots before the eyes. In the next part the guys will discuss Goldfinger in depth (well as much as they are capable of) and also briefly cover feedback, Timothy Dalton and View To A Kills hilarious end line.

The episode is entitled Madness, not only because of our rereview of Stanley Kubricks The Shining, but also because of the general tone of the cast thanks to extreme lateness of the recording as well as the craziness generated by the documentary on The Shining, Room 237, which Lee brings up at random points. Elsewhere in the cast we have news / rant / discussion about Disney Pixars Star Wars: Howard The Duck cross over, merger thing. A live Profanasaurus, a shitty superhero which add further confusion to matters. And various scatological inappropriateness with the emphasis on skat is also contained within, so listener discretion is advised.

This week is an epic length return to the indeterminate lengthed season of horror as Lee, Darren and Jim Moon draw straws on driving a flaming truck at Night of the Living Dead. But before that happens, we have to conversations about Lee & Darrens exploits in Bournemouth filming Convention of the Dead, before moving on to Jim’s new project and what is becoming a new regular feature… Lee’s Embarrassing DIY mishap of the week. After that we have some film news, mainly based around swearing about Robocop, cock teasing Iron Man 3 and David Finchers Goon kickstarter and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea remake. Jim then breaks out the Profanisaurus, with some interesting feedback from an unexpected source before we move on to Night of the Living Dead. Will Romero’s original zombie film hold up or has it rotted away? Listen and find out.
