Julie from BC Canada joins in to share her experience, strength and hope with us! I love hearing her talk about finding passion in recovery and seeing the beauty in her surroundings, all things that while in active addiction, I personally took for granted.
We are also joined by Adrienne Cossom who is a clinician in BC Canada and host of the Fold em: Help for Gambling Problems Podcast. She joins in to share her insight into the recovery process and the importance of finding a good support system outside of family and friends.
I hope you enjoy this episode and be sure to check out her podcast, you might hear a familiar voice on one of her future episodes. :)

The Kitty Chronicles: Part 5 - "Rational and Irrational Thoughts" - Trigger warning: suicidality.
In the final episode of our five-part series, we delve into those unwelcome thoughts that tell us hurtful nonsense, like that we're "unlovable, worthless, or helpless". We address perfectionism, all-or-nothing thinking and telltale words that point to irrational thoughts, such as "never, always, and everybody". Learn how to recognize when it's the gambling talking and techniques to shut 'em down. Pro tip: it takes intention and effort! Most importantly, we talk about thoughts of suicide, something that so many people with disordered gambling experience and that we're both glad we're still here to share our relief and hope with you. This is a little bonus clip from my conversation with Kayo. I was having some technical difficulties. I really liked this conversation about grief and chasing our loses. Is it always about chasing the money?
Hey everyone! In this episode we have Kayo who come on to share her story of compulsive gambling and recovery. She was absolutely wonderful to chat with and I look forward to sharing this episode with you.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

The Kitty Chronicles: Part 3 - "Ambivalence & Radical Acceptance"
Can two seemingly opposite things be true at once? In perhaps the most thought-provoking episode of our five-part series, Kitty presents both sides of some poignant assertions we often hear in gambling recovery, including: "you have to hit your bottom", "time matters", "gamblers are smart (or dumb!)" and the idea of "responsible gambling". You may not agree with her irreverent ideas; the important part of ambivalence is compassion for self and others who see things differently. You do you, Boo.

The Kitty Chronicles: Part 2 - "Funny Money"
The ever-loving dollar. Unlike other addictions, our complex relationship with money seems inextricably tied to our gambling. In this episode, we explore the language around different financial tools ("budget", anyone? Ugh.) , specific techniques that can help keep our money safe and strategies for managing debt and feeling hopeful about the future. Remember, the most important step in our financial recovery is getting the gambling stopped. Financial barriers are often critical in our finding peace.
