Sick flow! How many times has Kerry Fraser been told that? Hockey fan or not, you'll love the honesty and stories never heard before from his days on this ice. Known for his thick hair, Fraser is much more than that. He also has a personality and can be hilarious at times. From Gretzky, to Pay Quinn, and beyond check out this must listen on this edition of the Cam and Strick Podcast.

  • Claude Lemieux on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Claude Lemieux, how many players can terrorize you in as many ways as this guy did for almost two decades in the NHL? Considered one of the dirtiest players in NHL history, Lemieux is also one of the most clutch players in league history. A winner, a four-time Stanley Cup winner, in fact, Lemieux is the guy you want on your team when the series is on the line. We get into everything in this interview. From his hit on Kris Draper to challenging Hall of Fame Coach Scotty Bowman on the Detroit bus to single-handedly sparking one of the most heated rivalries in NHL history, to why he asked for a trade to get out of Montreal early in his career. Claude Lemieux, the guy you hated but so desperately wanted on your team. Hear his explanations straight from the horse's mouth on this edition of the Cam and Strick podcast.

  • Peter Stastny on Cam & Strick Podcast

Who has had a bigger impact on the European influence in the NHL than Hall of Famer Petr Stastny? Seriously, the answer is no one. In this episode, Stastny tells the amazing story of how he, his older brother Anton, and his pregnant wife escaped former communist Czechoslovakia for a better life in North America and to pursue a hockey career in the NHL. The story of how much effort it took to defect will leave you amazed. Eventually, Peter and Anton would be joined by their older brother Marian to form an all Stastny line with the Quebec Nordiques. Peter Stastny would win the Calder Trophy his rookie season as the NHL's rookie of the year. He would score the 2nd most points throughout the entire decade of the 1980s trailing only Wayne Gretzky.  Stastny would overcome verbal and physical abuse on the ice but mostly allowed his play to do the talking. In addition to representing his native Czechoslovakia in international hockey competitions, Peter would also go on to play for Slovakia in the Olympics as well as Canada in the 1984 Canada Cup. His two sons, Yan and Paul, both of whom made it to the NHL, have both represented USA hockey internationally. Paul is closing in on 1,000 career games and is an NHL All-Star currently playing with the Vegas Golden Knights. Peter Stastny has a story unlike many in the history of professional sports.  He's a true hockey treasure, hear what every hockey fan should know, the Peter Stastny story on this episode of the Cam and Strick Podcast.

  • Pierre Turgeon on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Quick question...who's the nicest person to ever play in the NHL? The answer is actually Colton Parayko but Pierre Turgeon might be second on the list. He's also a sick hockey player who played more than 1,200 NHL games after being selected first overall in the 1987 draft. Many believe Turgeon belongs in the Hall of Fame and he has the numbers to back it up. Over 500 goals and more than 800 assists should qualify, no?  Turgeon became a star in Buffalo before moving on to Captain the Montreal Canadiens. He'd eventually play 5 seasons in St. Louis where he helped lead the Blues to the Western Conference Final in 2001. Turgeon was the recipient of arguably the dirtiest hit in NHL history in 1993 thanks to Dale Hunter. The hit basically ended Turgeon's and the New York Islanders' playoff hopes who lost to Montreal in the Conference final. Does Turgeon forgive Hunter? What about the 1987 World Junior Championships brawl between Canada and Russia? Did he really stay on the bench while the rest of the team fought a Russian player? Fact or Fiction? Listen in and hear from one of the most underrated NHL stars in recent memory.

  • Wendel Clark on The Cam & Strick Podcast

There are some names in hockey that just scream an identity, in this case, it's Wendel Clark. The Kelvington, Saskatchewan native is one of the toughest pound-for-pound players to ever play in the NHL. Notice we're saying player and not a fighter. Clark could throw but he could also flat-out play. Now an ambassador, something we all strive to be, with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Clark is living his best life as an icon with one of the most storied franchises in NHL history. Just like fighting, hitting, and scoring were trademarks of Clark's game, so was a devastating back injury. He endured four-hour-a-day rehab sessions just to allow him to play. But beyond all that, he has a great perspective on today's game and on the current state of the Leafs. He also talks about fighting and how the way players train to be fighters has led to a major reduction in fighting in today's game. This interview will make you laugh as well as take you into the minds of one of the most popular names in NHL history. Clark doesn't talk much nowadays but when he does people listen. Check out this exclusive, one of a kind, conversation with Cam and Strick.

  • Keith Yandle on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Keith Yandle, a Boston boy, known for being funny and for never getting hurt. But there's much more to Keith Yandle than just his ability to play hockey. Yeah he's good, yes he's interesting, but Cam and Strick needed to find out more. Just how interesting is he? You've seen him do pizza reviews, appear on TV as a guest analyst, do a podcast here and there, but is there more to this guy? The short answer is yes. First off he owns a boat, something that automatically gets the boys' attention, but he has a great story. A Rags to Riches story most guys in the NHL can't relate to. Growing up blue-collar has made the Florida Panthers All-Star D-man not just appreciate what he has but just as important, where he came from. Get to know Keith Yandle on this edition of the Cam and Strick Podcast.

  • Lou Lamoriello on The Cam & Strick Podcast

We figured since it's our 50th episode we'd bring something special to the table. Lou Lamoriello, the Hall of Fame Hockey Executive and architect of the three-time Stanley Cup champion New Jersey Devils, gave a very rare, long-form interview. Lamoriello won't give you much, but still when he speaks people listen. He's the Godfather of hockey and does things only one way, Lou's way. While his players may slightly fear him while under his umbrella, there's no denying the respect he commands and the family-like environment he's created with every organization he's run. At 78 years old, Lamoriello remains on top of his game, what a career he's had. From being a baseball coach, a math teacher, to being an athletic director, this guy was enjoying a successful life before anyone truly knew much about Lou Lamoriello. That was before 1987 when the New Jersey Devils came calling....the rest is history. Like some serious history, this guy could go down as the greatest hockey executive of all time. This interview dives into everything and then some. As for Cam Janssen, a former Devils player, to say he was rattled or scared to death before, during, and after this interview wouldn't give it justice.  The interview starts off calm before Andy asks some pressing questions that people want answers to. Like how do you fire your Head Coach with only a handful of games remaining when you have the 2nd best record in the conference? Or how did the Scott Stevens arbitration case with the St. Louis Blues really go down? Did he like working in a hockey-crazed market like Toronto under Brendan Shanahan? Could Stevens play in today's game, was he a dirty player? What about working with George Steinbrenner? Check this out...Lou Lamoriello, exclusively on the Cam and Strick Podcast.

  • Chris Stewart on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Race relations have always been a passionate subject throughout North America, but what about in the sport of hockey? Where are we when it comes to racial equality in the game? Chris Stewart, a longtime NHL player of Jamaican descent, brings that conversation to the Cam and Strick podcast. As a member of the newly appointed Diversity Alliance committee, Stewart gives his honest take of where we are today. This is the most honest and real discussion you're going to hear on the topic. But that's not all we talk about...Stewart has played nearly 700 NHL games, not bad for a kid who's overcome as much adversity as he has. He had to walk on to his junior team in the OHL before eventually becoming Captain of the Kingston Frontenacs just a few seasons later. He eventually would develop into an NHL 1st round draft pick, like his brother Anthony a few years before. Stewart has played on several teams throughout his NHL career, he's had his ups and downs but has always found a way to impact an NHL roster. He came into the NHL as a scorer and quickly became a core player with the Colorado Avalanche before moving on to St. Louis. Now, towards the later stages of his career, Stewart is looking to make an impact at the roots level by making hockey a safe place for people of all walks of life. Enjoy this raw, honest conversation about life, hockey, and perseverance.

  • Gary Roberts on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Few stories can match what former Stanley Cup winner Gary Roberts went through as a player. A serious neck injury forces him into retirement at the age of 30. But life without hockey proved to be too much of a struggle for Roberts, he wanted to return to the ice, would anyone take a chance on a player with his injury issues? After seeking out opinions from multiple Doctors, the consensus was, the risk was too high for an NHL team to take him on. The Calgary Flames eventually traded him to the Carolina Hurricanes where GM Jim Rutherford, going against the opinions of medical professionals, said he was willing to take on the risk. It proved to be life-changing for Roberts who went on to play 12 more seasons and finish his career with over 1200 games played and 400 goals. Today Roberts is one of the most successful off-ice trainers in the game. He has a facility that attracts some of the biggest names in the NHL. From Connor McDavid to Steven Stamkos, to Mathew and Brady Tkachuk, Roberts is widely recognized and trusted as one of the smartest in the industry. He was known to be ahead of his time throughout his playing days when it came to strength training and he's put that knowledge to work with his state-of-the-art facility in Toronto.  Roberts gets very emotional telling his story in this must-listen interview with Cam and Strick.

  • Larry Robinson on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Larry Robinson is a name in hockey history that'll get anyone's attention. Named one of the top 100 players of all-time, a Hall of Famer, a two-time Norris Trophy winner, and a six-time Stanley Cup winner as a player. He was a core player on arguably the greatest dynasty in the history of the NHL. Robinson isn't one to talk about himself and is regarded as one of the most down-to-earth individuals you'll ever meet. His stories of the glory days with the Montreal Canadiens are legendary. How big of a rock star was he? Just listen to this conversation. Robinson has won four more Cups in his post-playing career as a coach or a consultant. This includes the St. Louis Blues in 2019 where he needed one more ring, for his middle finger, to complete the set for both hands. You may have heard Larry Robinson speak before, but never with the flare and entertainment accompanied by Cam and Strick. This is truly a conversation where legends are made.
