He then went on to discuss product supply issues with John Newcomb from the Builders Merchants Federation.

The big guy also talked us through increasing productivity and if you feel like you got enough from 2022.

Happy New Year Everyone! Chance Litchfield was in the hotseat for Clive and he started off the week by discussing New Year's Resolutions. Have you made any for your business or for yourself in general?
Then he focused on the best and worst bits of Christmas. What was yours? Were you happy with the break or did the lack of work and time off drive you crazy?

And to wrap things up, Chance discussed what mistakes or decisions you made in 2022 that you do not want to repeat in 2023!

Clive started off the week by asking how your 2022 was? After Covid and the events that unfolded throughout the year, did your business improve and did you make more money?

He then focused on the years washout in government and policy for the construction industry. With a recession looming and a severe shortage of workers, what needs to change to combat these problems in 2023?

Then Clive asked if Santa could bring you anything to make your job easier, what would it be?

And to finish off proceedings, he asked what jobs did you promise to finisharound the house this year and have still not got around to?

Clive started off the week by discussing the softening demand in the housing market. Has it impacted your business? We spoke to two house builders, one in particular who this directly affected and the other offering help to those put out by this!
Then he focused on the review commissioned by Business Secretary Grant Shapps, into whether larger companies are paying their smaller suppliers promptly enough. Have you been affected by this?

Clive also asked you to share your proudest moments of 2022, what was the best thing you built! Can you think of one off the top of your mind?
And to finish things off, Mr. Holland discussed what are the best and worst things about Christmas. Do you enjoy the festive period or are you a bit bah humbug! Has the cost of living and energy crises amongst other things made it that bit harder to enjoy?

Clive started off the week by discussing the dreaded festive schedule and asked if you were swamped until Christmas Eve or beyond? Have you come across customers that asked the question...can it be done for Christmas?

Then he focused on van ownership. It got extremely expensive this year with rising insurance and fuel prices. How did this affect your business?

Then Clive looked at the incredible story of a man who awoke from a coma with a new skillset in carpentry and drawing. So this led him to ask, if you could wake up with a new skill, what would it be?

And to wrap things up, Clive discussed Christmas parties and asked if you had any embarrassing or funny stories to share. He was not disappointed!

Clive started off the week by discussing income tax and how self employed workers are struggling to budget for the upcoming January payments.

Then he focused on asbestos. A survey carried out by Electrical Direct, said that 72% of tradespeople have come across asbestos in their working lives. Despite being banned in the UK since 1999, it is still a major problem today!

Clive also looked at the World Cup. The increased cost-of-living and the incoming festive season have impacted tradespeople's ability to follow it. So he asked how you lovely tradespeople worked around this constraint?

And to finish proceedings, Clive discussed all things breakfast for English Breakfast Day. How do you like yours? Traditional ? Continental? Or something else?

Clive started off the week by discussing gas safety and the dangers behind home owners carrying out DIY gas and electrical works. And of course he discussed the World Cup as England kicked off against Iran.

Then he focused on the Autumn Budget and how it will affect you and your business.

The 'Big Guy' also looked at the best places in the UK to be a tradesperson, the results were interesting! Maybe your home town, city or county were named?

And to finish proceedings, Clive focused on looks-likes. Do you look like any one famous or have a friend or colleague that turns heads and say? Wait, is that David Beckham, Prince Harry or so and so?
