  • Tinfoil Tales - EPISODE 16: Eltham Drag Queen Story Hour debrief

Joel here - apologies for the delay in getting this one up - but you can listen on the Tinfoil Tales feed at https://redcircle.com/shows/tinfoil-tales

If you get it from them directly you help get them up the podcast charts (dunno where you go after number 1 though tbh) and generally help them along. But they're family to us and we will keep it here as long as they want to live at home.

This episode is great. Really nice and optimistic which is a real change for what we tend to push out. The community really banded together and told the cookers where to go. This one will brighten your day so if you're feeling a bit defeated, chuck this on for a nice warm hug from the girls. It's a great listen. Enjoy.

    ------------

In this episode of Tinfoil Tales SOS and Sandee have an unscripted chat giving you an update on all that has happened around the Drag Queen Story Hour drama in Victoria recently, and the response to it.

This is a brief update special on this important topic, the following links are provided for more information:

  • The Two Jacks - Episode 30 - The Fix is in.

Arrests in HK over local soccer matches have caught the eye of HK Jack but are consultancies expensively fixing our bureaucracy in an unaccountable mess?

Trouble at mill for the ABC.

Bakhmut falls while F-16s are on the way to Ukraine.

    Death cult in Kenya.

And what energy source is growing faster - coal or renewables?

In sport, coaches walk away in the AFL while we look at the form guide for the Test cricket World Championship and the Ashes.

  • Episode 131 - Nazis - Derek - Monica - DQST - Babet

It has been a huge week in the world of cookerdom with a cheeky bunch of Victorian nazis trying to catfish cookers into hanging out and becoming pals. It didn't really work. But they'll be back! They had a total aryan victory. Well done boys. Top work. Maybe next time you won't fuck it up.

Derek Balogh sponsors the show this week. We think he's a clever boy and a good law talkin' guy. Give him your money and everything will be fine.

In cooker update we have a chat about Monica Smit. She's been sliding into irrelevance recently but she's put her hand out for money in a spectacular way. She also went to court and it was quite funny.

We also look at the very successful Drag Queen Story Time that saw smelly cookers and nazis trying to scare children in order to save them. Or something. It's definitely not about the children. They've established that.

In SovCits we have a very confused man who has got away with driving without a license or registration for something like 18 years. I mean, it cost him a couple grand but he's probably ahead.

And Babet gives a budget in reply which we then reply to because it's about as dumb as you would expect.

    Enjoy!

  • The Two Jacks - Episode 29 - Elections? We have two!

The Two Jacks report on the election results from Turkiye and Thailand.

The latter offers hope for change while Turkiye will go to a runoff which Erdogan looks likely to win. For Europe and NATO, Erdogan's re-election is probably a case of better the bastard you know.

We look at the first anniversary of the election of the Albanese government. Polling shows Albo and Labor have picked up a few points on the Coalition who remain languishing with a primary vote in the low 30s. This is no honeymoon effect and the Coalition is in deep trouble if it can't turn its fortunes around.

In sport, we look at AFL goalkicking and ask why it's the one area in the game that has gone backwards since the game turned professional.

  • The Two Jacks - Episode 28 - Charles gets 'coronated'

The Two Jacks discuss the coronation of King Charles III, much of which they didn't watch because they're not terribly interested. But a raft of other republicans appear to have been glued to their screens immersed in the pageantry.

It's election time in Turkey, will Erdogan pull a Trump if he loses.

The Thais also go to the elections with progressive parties ahead in the polls while the people of Chile continue to send out mixed messages over what they want from their new constitution.

Who boos a champion like Buddy Franklin? Collingwood fans. The often disparaged Pies' fans need to get themselves up to the level of the club and its personnel who are leading the way.

Premium Episode 51 - ESG - Malcolm Roberts - Drag Queen ST Cancelled by Nazis | Patreon

    --------------------------------------------

Feels like it's been a while since we did one of these and we waffled a bit. But it's good waffle! It's premium waffle.

We kick off with a look at ESG - environmental and social governance. What is it, why is it kinda bullshit but also kinda not. Let's get confused together.

Malcolm Roberts is the biggest fucking cooker on facebook - well, of our proud parliamentarians at least.

And after the Monash City Council protest where cookers from everywhere but Monash City Council area screamed about how rates they are not paying were not being used properly. Well now the nazis are involved and it's cancelled. Surprise surprise - the cookers are pretty okay with that.

Enjoy! Sorry for the babble, it's been a big month. Listen to this while doing several other important tasks for maximum enjoyment :-P

  • The Two Jacks - Episode 27 - The Budget Blow Up

Labor like its predecessors in government drip feed budget measures, a silly ploy according to JTI which often riles people up for no reason. In this case, it's the announcement of an increase to the Job Seeker allowance but only for those who are 55 or older. It's either all or nothing according to JTI.

A YouGov poll on the Voice shows majority support in all states and territories albeit with a big don't know factor.

US intel reveals 10,000 Russian soldiers killed on the Bakhmut battlefield with another 80,000 wounded.

May Day riots in France show the French aren't buying Macron's liberalism.

The Biden re-election bid places pressure on Veep, Kamala Harris to lift her game while De Santis's whistlestop to Europe leaves the diplomatic and business community underwhelmed.

The Two Jacks discuss the issue of homelessness and discover unsurprisingly the answer is the provision of homes, not shelters. The Finnish model which has the lowest number of homeless people in all Europe is the way forward but it takes time, money, political commitment and courage.

Meanwhile in sport the Pies keep on keeping on.

  • Episode 130 - RFK Jr - Katie Sorensen - Monash DQSH - Eric - Pete

This week we look at the tragically unassassinated RFK Jr. whose cynical attempt to run for the democratic primary is a transparent grab for attention which only made the news because his last name is Kennedy.

In other news we look at the recent conviction of mummy blogger turned kidnap hoaxer Katie Sorensen who fabricated a kidnapping attempt in the parking lot of a craft store to get internet clout. It worked too. But now she's probably going to jail.

In cooker update we have a look at the Monash City Council meeting which was hijacked by ferals who are terrified of men in dresses. Sandee and SOS nailed this in Tinfoil Tales so listen to that for on the ground coverage - we look at what an idiot Ralph Babet is and how completely cooked Rukshan's comments section is. It's really cooked.

Eric is back! He's not doing well. Pete is back! He misses Tucker.

    Enjoy!

  • Tinfoil Tales - EPISODE 15: News and Views! Drag Queen Story Hour.

Content Warning: This episode contains examples of transphobic speech and may be distressing to some listeners.

This episode of Tinfoil Tales News and Views! SOS and Sandee discuss the Monash Council meeting on April 26th, where chaos ensued after the Freedom Protestors decided to verbally express their views around Monash allowing Drag Queen Story Hour to be facilitated at the Oakleigh Library on May 19th.

Sandee dives into the history of DQSH and why it has come to be and how a successful DQSH in Newcastle has paved the way for LGBTQIA+ members and supporters to respond to attacks on their events.

SOS continues the New World Order manifesto that Karen Brewer has created on what the new world will look like once the Freedom folk get into power, and an old Pseudo legal Expert makes a return.

Capped off with Danny Searle who has made a connection between Trump, Tucker and Pizza. Look, it's plausible.

  • Episode 129 - Jenni's Story

Jenni Robertson and her daughter Melinda De Groot join Jack to discuss grief, and profound loss surrounding the death of Jenni's son, Troy.

Troy died on the family property at nine years of age in 1987. Jenni has always harboured doubts about the circumstances of Troy's death. Troy may have died due to an accident but was his death a case of negligence or something much worse?

New information has come to hand and Troy's death is now the subject of a renewed police investigation as a result.

Troy's death occurred on a family property where harness racing was the central focus. At the time of Troy's death, the harness racing industry was replete with corruption and race fixing.

Troy died just weeks after his father, Robert and Jenni received death threats in relation to the performance of one of Robert's horses.

Was Troy the victim of a crime aimed at his father?
