The Couch Potatoes

And as it turns out, that 2nd opinion... no much different than the first. OR IS IT? Also, it's May, which means we've got the May Movie Preview! And the Battle of Winterfell is taking a lot of heat for being too dark. Not figuratively dark, like the DC Comics movies, I mean too dark to see what's going on. We'll discuss if it was a problem or not. - Brett

It's finally here! Avengers: Endgame! I've got a review. Also, Hobbs & Shaw released a new trailer, that more or less felt like the entire movie. Game of Thrones hits a home run with its 2nd episode of the final season, and Jeff finally watched a pair of classic sci-fi films! - Brett

Hi there! This week on The Couch Potatoes we'll tee up Avengers: Endgame, which opens NEXT WEEK! We'll also discuss that first episode of season 8 of Game of Thrones, Jeff started watching a new-ish show about a bar cuz he likes shows about bars, and I've been watching something NOT so new, but it's never too late to go back to a classic. - Brett

Hi there! This week we'll tee up the long-awaited 8th and final season of Game of Thrones. Also, I'll tell you about my experience watching The Matrix on the big screen for the 20th anniversary, which made me then watch the sequels again at home. We'll also go through some other classic films that debuted in 1999. And, Jeff has a belated review of Captain Marvel, and a VERY belated review of another 90s classic. - Brett

Hi there! April used to be kind of a crappy month at the movies before the Summer season started in May, but this year, much like last year, it will be home to the biggest opening movie of all time! ALSO A CORRECTION TO PASS ALONG: We indicate during the show that "The Best of Enemies" opens this weekend, on April 5th, which is not true. At least, not in Canada. It opens on April 5th in the U.S. Sadly, by the time we realized the mistake, it was too late and too messy to edit the show in a timely fashion. Meanwhile, Jeff went to see Jordan Peele's "Us". AND, The Walking Dead season 8 finale, ended up kinda being The Walking Meh'd. - Brett
