Today we talked about something really important—
why cravings get stronger during stressful seasons and why trying harder, being more disciplined, or “getting back on track” usually doesn’t fix it.
This isn’t a motivation problem.
And it’s definitely not a character flaw.
Cravings are often driven by stress circuits in the emotional brain that are formed and fire automatically. Once those circuits are activated, logic, plans, and good intentions don’t stand a fair chance.
That’s why:
Inside today’s training, you'll learn:
No food rules.
No tracking.
No pressure to be perfect.
Just understanding—and a new perspective.
If you haven’t watched yet, start there.
If you did attend live, the replay is a great one to revisit. The transcript is also available.
There were so many great amazing learnings from today in the comments... here are just a handful!
💡 "Surprised to find there is a middle ground, a connecting ground, between craving and actual bingeing."
💡 "Today’s training is about the WHY - which I need more than the WHAT."
💡 "Hearing that my cravings aren’t because I lack discipline."
💡 "That cravings live in emotional brain and we can learn to regulate stress."
💡 "I’m not alone in eating when I know better and that it isn’t my fault."
💡 "Finding out my eating is trying to get love."
Tomorrow, we’ll build on this and talk about why motivation for New Year's resolutions fades, and the 4 steps for lasting behavior change and freedom from cravings.
