A chat with Martijn van Strien,

Martijn is a 31 years old creative filmmaker and passionate cyclist from the Netherlands.
He is mostly known from his Youtube chanel Fernwee where he has been documenting his journey as a rider making vlogs and short films.
Starting on a father and son bike trip, sharing is progress in crit races and crazy bike trips with his friends he managed to get connected with a lot of brands and doing so moved a few years later to a full time position making a living around his content creation.

A chat with Lawrence Naesen

A 27 year old Belgian World Tour Pro cyclist riding for the French Team AG2R La Mondiale.

Lawrence also called “ Law  “ started racing later than most riders at the age of 20.
Two year later in 2015 he started to compete on a pro level riding for Belgian continental teams before signing his first World Tour contract for Lotto Soudal in 2018.

This year he joined his older brother Oliver Naesen entering his 3rd season on the World Tour level.

In this episode we talk about his daily routine during this confinement period, why he started cycling at the age of 20, how he manage to improve quickly and enter the pro level, the differences between continental teams and world tour teams, how it is to be a Belgian pro rider,  why he joined his older brother at AG2R, and much more.

In this episode during unusual times for all of us we sit together from a distance with Steven Hendrikx also known as Mr Hardennes and since this spring as Mr. Destination Everywhere working for the Danish cycling apparel brand Pas Normal Studios.

Steven who is 40 years old is a real purist, somebody who has been riding over 25.000 km each year in some of the most beautiful places just for the love of riding his bike, while doing so sharing it on Instagram and Strava he has been a true ambassador for the Belgian Ardennes region also called the Hardennes.

From a Belgian junior kermes rider to getting a sport as a soigneur on two of the biggest teams in pro cycling is quite an accomplishment.
From getting on the team, working hard and getting respected his story will for sure inspire some of you !
