Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by continuing the conversation centered on the horrific Tennessee school shooting by a transgendered individual. Dom provides further information on what’s been uncovered since the tragedy, and plays back a clip from South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds, who suggested that Congress will continue to not pursue so-called ‘Red Flag Laws.’ Then, Dom tells about the resignation of Temple University President Jason Wingard, explaining why he doesn’t believe he was the cause for the spike in violence, noting the importance of the next President to call out the leadership in Philadelphia.
Then, Dom welcomes former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, now working with the Independent Women’s Forum, to hear about her time spent this week at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was met with protests and violence for speaking on campus. Riley has been in the news a lot recently, speaking out heavily against UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas, a transgendered individual, pointing out the unfairness of allowing biological males to compete against females. Gaines first reflects on her speaking engagement, telling that a heckler called her a ‘pervert’ for looking at Lia’s genitalia, pointing out the idiotic nature in thinking that would be perverse, even if untrue, while thinking it’s okay for women to be forced to see a biological male’s genitalia. Then, Dom and Gaines delve into her background, with the swimmer telling, in depth, her training background and the dedication it takes to be a female athlete, only to have chances of success ripped away by unfair advantages in allowing trans individuals in women’s sports. Also, Riley offers her thoughts on the horrific school shooting involving a transgendered individual in a Nashville school, and tells where listeners can find more of her work as she continues her push back against this radical ideology.
