I discuss tests for soil organic matter, and explain the distinction between those tests and a different kind of test for total organic material by depth. I also talked briefly about a new MLSN film.
I discuss these blog posts.

This discusses how changing the variance value in the turfgrass growth potential equation will change the shape of the curve as one moves away from the optimum growth temperatures.
I discussed using the temperature-based growth potential (GP) to make comparisons between locations. The chart with 33 locations around the world is in this post: https://www.asianturfgrass.com/post/gp-as-proxy-for-season-length/

I discuss the 7 question, 2 minute survey, about soil sampling procedures for turfgrass, and I explain why this is an important topic that I've been paying more attention to. I discuss a survey I conducted about how soil samples are typically collected prior to sending to a laboratory for analysis.
I discussed these blog posts that show the background and the full survey results:

I showed photos of two lawns in this post: https://www.asianturfgrass.com/post/wonders-of-traffic-on-turfgrass/
Watch this episode at: https://youtu.be/NL7hkazsGSY
Both lawns are manilagrass (Zoysia matrella) in southern Thailand. One is beside the road on one of my regular running routes, and another is on an island. Neither are mown. Both receive traffic in some areas and not in others. There is a remarkable difference in turfgrass appearance and quality as a lawn or sporting surface, based only on the amount of traffic received.
