  • the courage to be disliked

I'm back with another episode on my takeaways from the most recent audio book I listened to, The Courage to Be Disliked (Ichiro Kishimi, Fumitake Koga). we discuss how to learn to separate your tasks from others as a way to decrease the stress in your life by taking on problems that are not yours to take on. we also discuss how to not use your own misfortune as a way to feel special so that you can stop looking for all the ways your life is unfortunate and begin seeing how fortunate you really are! these are just a few of the topics we discuss among a few others. this has been my most favorite self-help book so far, so I hope you all go read it after listening to this episode. enjoy xxx

  • rewarding yourself with action

this week we discuss the dread that comes with doing something you know you need to do but don't want to, and the dread that comes with not doing what you need to do but having it in the back of your mind that you should have. I love this idea of "dread sprints" from Brooke Castillo's, The Life Coach Podcast. I love this concept and want to put my own spin on it so that not only can we be more motivated to be productive and move toward our goals, BUT we can work on changing the view we have on things that might now be dreadful to us, to eventually more enjoyable. enjoy xxx

in this episode, we discuss how to focus on the little details about each of your goals so that you can more effortlessly narrow in on how to get there. we talk about the importance of not obsessing over when something will happen in your life and how to focus more on your consistency in what you do in the present moment to get there. we also discuss how to release control from the timing of when your goals will manifest in your life since that is not something you can control.  enjoy xxx
