In this episode I discuss the outcome of our latest Fascia-Informed Therapist Meetings and Mentorship Group. We discussed a wide variety of topics relevant to so many practice settings. I believe when you're learning to apply new concepts, having other practitioners where you can bounce ideas off of and learn from is invaluable! I want to offer this opportunity to every practitioner interested in applying the science of fascia to their practice.

In this episode I discuss how becoming fascia-informed adds an entirely new layer to our critical thinking process when it comes to helping clients with balance issues. I will also share some research that looks at fascia and balance in both kids and adults, and how I weave in fascia science to my assessment process. If you work with clients who have balance issues of any age, this episode is for you!

Join me as I discuss a question that has come up from practitioners in traditional settings. Their client is having acute pain or recently had a surgery. Can they use myofascial release techniques? I say yes but there are few things to consider. Safety is ALWAYS first.
As always, thank you for listening! Join our newsletter too!
Podcast - The Fascia-Informed Therapist ™
Join me for this episode as I share why I wanted to discuss this topic that affects nearly half of ALL the adults in the United States. I believe we have a role to play in helping with this epidemic. Fascia to the rescue. Now, there are many reasons why someone can have high BP and fixing your fascia is NOT a cure all, but I think it has an important role to play. As always, more research is needed but I'll share what I could find and why I think we can help.

In this episode I discuss why I created the Fascia-Informed Woman course and all the great information inside the course. Every woman who is considering starting a new fitness routine should start with this course! Why? The goal in most fitness programs is to build muscle which is incredibly important, but when fascia surrounds every muscle group, individual muscle and even every muscle fiber we must consider the health of the fascia before we get started. We also cover the importance of posture, joint mobility and stability and many other topics that should be considered BEFORE jumping into a new exercise program. Creating a healthy foundation will create more success and help prevent injuries. Find this public-facing course here: Creating a Foundation for Fitness in Women 45+: A fascia informed
I also recorded this episode as a video podcast if you'd rather watch than listen. Find it on our YouTube Channel: https://youtu.be/WKNW98yJgtU
In this episode, I reflect on key lessons from a recent business conference that highlighted the growing need for authenticity in the age of AI. I open up about my personal struggles with confidence and staying true to myself while marketing my courses. Join me as I explore what authenticity really means, the challenges of vulnerability, and how I’m learning to balance my unique voice with the tools of modern technology.

This episode is just some musings about the words we use to describe techniques to target the fascia. Are we doing what we say we're doing?

I follow many different types of practitioners and business leaders online. I love to read books by people inside and outside of my field. One of the people I follow online made a post about the Enthusiast Model and it came at time I really needed it. Listen and learn more!

I recently had a conversation with a very critical thinking practitioner who brought up that fascia and myofascial release has so much stigma associated with it. This made her hesitant to learn about it. In this podcast I expand on the conversation we had because I know she's not the only out there thinking this way. Practitioners approach me quite frequently with this concern. I hope to change the stigma around fascia with an evidence-based approach. Learn about the system first, then decided about which techniques you want to learn. That is a Fascia-Informed approach!

Cupping is an ancient art that has been reimagined, rebranded and integrated into many modern traditional and non-traditional practices. I started using cupping a few years ago after receiving it from another practitioner and I find it very helpful. Many of my clients love to have cupping integrated into their treatment sessions. Join me as I review some literature and give you more information about how you might use cupping in your practice! The Fascia-Informed Therapist ™ - Grounded in science.
