Episode 4 - The team celebrates that their podcast, after only three episodes, is already Number 3 in the podcast charts, thanks to listeners sharing the podcast.
We start with a review of three cases from the Decisis.ie website including a case around seaweed harvesting and the foreshore. There's also a case involving insurance company Hiscox and the insurance of a play centre. Finally, a High Court judgement about child sexual abuse reporting and the HSE.
This week's VIP interview is with Keith Walsh Walsh, solicitor and SC. He brings us up to date on what's happening in his specialist area, family law, including two newer issues, those concerning separations and divorces of same-sex couples where he observes cases involving above average wealth. And while on the subject of wealth, he has also seen a rise in cases concerning couples where one or both parties are working with (typically) tech companies where part of the remuneration is paid in shares which throws up issues of vesting and valuation and timing.
We're only on Episode 4 of the weekly podcast but for the 2nd time, in his choice of a book recommendation for those interested in matters legal, Keith recommends Ruadhán Mac Cormaic's book, The Supreme Court.
And congratulations to Ruadhán also for having been named Editor of the Irish Times.
