A Monday that started with a lot of red on the screen. Grains just getting beat up who is left to sell? Wheat market keeps getting beat up. Supply issues for both beans & wheat. Grains take another drop, WASDE report out tomorrow. Trade & weather continue to play a role in the market trade as a lot weighing on the March 27th meeting. Cattle struggle with weather concerns but slaughter stays at pace.

Today’s trade was the impact of computer trade. Lower grains, charts are breaking down, a low-maybe. We need a trigger point to turn it. Continue on China & weather-may be the trigger points. Grains-some excitement over the weekend that we might be moving forward with China. Big reversal on Friday with the corn market. Corn may have made their low.

Huge movement in the cash cattle. 128.50 traded on a Monday. Some early indications that the cash market will be okay this week. April sees a weakness makes for an interesting month. Higher boxes. Spring planting & the need to look beyond trade. Strong buying seen in the wheat & soybeans with large delivers in corn, wheat & beans. Prevent plant might need to be looked at. Cattle still bullish, weights are down. Dairy looking good going not only into 2nd quarter but to the second half of the year. The shift to beef from pork in China.

First notice day, bull spreading. South American crop is on track, export sales of corn on track. Weather/flooding issues in the U.S. ASF increases in China. What do their consumers think of pork? Winter storm causing issues with weight gain & some consolidation in beef.

Grains end mixed with pressure from the bears to see US China trade deal results. Ag producers may have to make a decision on stored grain. Plus a look at the cattle and hog trade. Sam Hudson of Cornbelt Marketing breaks down the days trade.
