Rick Taylor quickly went from a work relationship to a friend more like family for Lance and Noel in just a few short years. His passion for all things outdoors is obvious but his heart lies with the wild turkey. Listen in as we catch up on Rick’s season that includes recent escapades to Oklahoma and a special trip to Texas with his dad. Spring hunting is one of the best gifts to a hunting season. Whether it's turkeys or bears its a great opportunity to keep our skills sharp going into the next fall hunting season. But bears and turkeys aren't the only thing available to hunt. A trip down to Texas to hunt aoudad sheep is another great option to explore. A new favorite tradition of mine is heading to the Sandhills of Nebraska in the Spring to look for antlers on our good friend Nate's ranch. This year was better than the last as we had 4 of us and no snow. We ended up scooping up 24 antlers and at least twice as many new stories.

Jacob is one of the most hardcore guys I've talked to on this podcast. In 2023 he stared down death on the mountain and miraculously survived. In 2024 he went back west killed a bear, a cow elk, a bull elk and came home to kill a 160 class buck in Ohio. What an incredible season! Jacob also celebrated the one year of establishment for his nonprofit organization that teaches men how to hunt, how to get in physical shape to take on the mountain, and how to find God while they are there.
