Today is a very extra special episode, I had the honor of interviewing Bradley Carnell, the head coach of STL City Soccer. In August 2019, the city of St. Louis, MO received a grant for an expansion club. The first season kicked off in 2023 and in its first year the team broke records, St. Louis City SC became the most successful MLS Expansion team in their first eight games with 18 points. They also broke the record for most wins by an MLS expansion club and on October 1, 2023, they won the Western Conference in their first year as a franchise and would also qualify for the 2024 CONCACAF (kaang·kuh·kaf) Champions Cup. The club is also the first majority female-owned club in MLS history! If you are not from St. Louis you need to know that this soccer team has created so much momentum in the city and I thought it would be an incredible opportunity to sit down with Bradley to hear his insight on what it takes to lead a transformation as big as this and how he manages his leadership role, tips, and trick for other leaders around the globe to do the same. It was such a treat to get to hear from the man himself and you’ll hear the humbleness and confidence radiating during the conversation!
How to approach transformation as a leader in a new role.
Honoring the history of the city/community to elevate the future.
Being a role model for the team and challenging them to take responsibility for development.
Give and take concept
How he creates an environment where his players can be vulnerable and open
What can be learned and applied from sports and immediate feedback on the field
How he cultivates clarity and buy-in to drive success
The importance of knowing your team's personalities and character
How to train to deal with adversity under pressure.
Conflict’s role in the game
...and much, much more!

How do you achieve a future greater than your past?
This is one of the questions I set out to answer on today’s episode with Brett Gilliland. He is the CEO and founder of Visionary Wealth Advisors and host of the Circuit of Success Podcast where he sits down with people from all walks of life to learn from their success and their challenges and what has made them the people they are today. Some of the people he has interviewed include “The Wizard” Ozzie Smith, John O’Leary, and four-time Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee. In this episode though, I got to interview Brett on how he got to where he is today, what he wants my audience to know about success and wealth, and many more nuggets, you don’t want to miss!

Today’s podcast is gold. I had a chance to interview Josh Hildebrand the founder of Breath and Exposure STL. Josh is an STL-based firefighter who is a Marine who went through two combat tours in Iraq. His life was very “go, go, go” after he got back until he discovered cold exposure in Austin - It changed his life so tremendously that he decided to start his own movement in the Midwest. People often ask me what I am training for or why I like to run. My funny answer is just “life” - I find that working out is like a lab to test and train up your grit. It used to be boxing more so but now I have added running to my list of workouts.
The five reasons I run and how they support my flowy lifestyle:
1. Anxiety
2. GRIT
3. Release of creativity and nitric oxide
4. Learning and offsetting the challenge/skill balance needed for flow
5. Visualization
6. How to start creating your own flow-infused exercise routine
