The God Minute

Every Sunday one of the priests reflects on the gospel for today's mass. We call it, "Breaking Open the Word."

"Hail Mary Gentle Woman"

Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee.  Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

"Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here"

Let us call upon the Holy Spirit as we anticipate the outpouring and renewal of the Holy Spirits Gifts.

Most people tend to be "Yes People", that is, people who want to do good and help out- even at the expense of personal health and priorities. There is a stigma to saying "No". But today Lauren reflects on the fact that the JOY we are promised in Christ can only come when we stay nourished and bear fruit.  And that doesn't come if we give everything away.

Scripture: John 15: 4

All of May is traditionally the month of Mary in the Catholic Church. So our Random Wednesday's are an opportunity to reflect on one of the titles for our Blessed Mother.

Mark 16:  15 - 20

Hail Holy Queen

Luke 1: 26-38

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.  Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.
