Your brain is part of your central nervous system (CNS) and your gut has its own unique nerve network called the enteric nervous system (ENS), also known as the second brain.
They are both connected by the vagal nerve, which form the BRAIN-GUT Connection.
Often unwanted gut symptoms get treated from a physical aspect. But with your brain and gut being so heavily influenced and operated by their own nervous systems, wouldn't it make sense to address the nervous system just as much as the physical symptoms?
In episode 22, I share a candid discussion on this topic. No notes, no written format, just me creating a conversation on a topic that is dear to my heart - The Polyvagal Theory.
