This week we are talking about how knowing your values will help you make all decisions in your life easier. I am joined on this episode by Doris Belland, the woman who taught me this lesson a couple of years ago. Doris' passion is financial literacy for women, but as you will find in this episode, values don't just apply to your finances, they affect every part of your life.
When I did this exercise, it took me six months! And when I finally did clarify them, I think that's what started me on this journey that led me to this podcast. I discovered a gaping hole between my values and how I was living. I wasn't unhappy, but there was definitely something missing.
In this episode Doris shares a tool she uses to start people down the right path to clarifying their personal values. You can find that document here: YFL's List of VALUES
You can find more about Doris on her webiste: yourfinanciallaunchpad.com

This week we talk about why reflection and review help us stay on our happiness journey. Too often we avoid this process and wonder what happened. I did a reflection and review on the podcast and then realized, I needed to do one on all aspects of my life! Its a great tool. Not always something we want to do because we might have to change things, but totally worth the time, effort and honesty it takes.

This week we are talking about your newest superpower. Self Compassion. It really makes sense to be a better friend to ourselves. We wouldn't let anyone else talk to us the way our inner voice does. Self Compassion allows us to have more compassion and kindness for ourselves and therefore more to share with others. Its a win-win all around.

This week we are checking in on your happiness journey and talking about excavating the real you hiding underneath the cultural conditioning and other people's opinions. We each have to follow our own journey, but the unique beautiful person underneath is totally worth the work. Are you doing the work to ensure your journey gets you to where you want to go?

This week's podcast we are talking about the importance of taking care of ourselves and rest. Well, and mostly, SLEEP! It is so powerful, why do we fight it? When you are well rested you show up as the best you, not what's left of you.
A few weeks ago I was talking to my my friend Kathleen and she told me that for her Master's Program she studied her sleep and what affected it.
I had the idea for this podcast on my mind for a while and was super excited to hear about her study and her findings. I am constantly analyzing myself, but I've never done a study to that level.
I asked her to join me on this week's podcast to talk about what she learned.

In this episode we talk about the daily living part of personal growth. Sadly there is no quick fix, drive through or magic cream solution. When you decide to change something in your life for the better, it will take action to make it part of your life. Just deciding you want to change is only the start. We need to be patient with ourselves as we learn and grow.
Have a great week! Go get your happy on!!!

Episode Description:
In this week's episode of The Happier You Podcast, I dive into the powerful message of "You Are Enough."
