The Seahawks officially announced the coaching hire of Clint Hurtt to the vacant defensive coordinator position. Clint gave an introductory press conference and his points of emphasis were liking something taken directly from our discussions on this show. If Coach Hurtt's words are true, our Seahawks are going to look quite different on the defensive side of the ball. And these are charges worth getting excieted about.

The Seattle Seahawks defense in recent years has been a far cry from the dominance of the LOB days. For the past five years, the defense has at its best lingered around middle of the pack, and at its worst, in the bottom fifteen of the league. With the firing of Ken Norton Jr. and the collection of coaches that Carroll is swirling around, we can get a better idea for adjustments Coach Carroll intends to bring into the fold for next season. After taking a good amount of time in their search the Seattle Seahawks are expected to announce Clint Hurtt as their next defensive coordinator. Clint has been serving as a defensive line coach for the Seahawks since 2017. Once again, Coach Carroll promotes from within. Ed Donatell is also expected to join the staff as a passing game coordinator. We'll discuss this hiring, and what it means for the future of the defense. The Senior Bowl also just wrapped up, and we'll be talking college prospects who stood out, and also might be a target for our Seattle Seahawks.
