Why are you so hard on yourself? I ask that kindly, but does that resonate for you? Do you ever find that your routines feel exhausting or are a little bleaker than what you'd imagine for your life?
This is a two-part conversation, and today we focus on when you are compelled to "go at things hard" - not "hard" in a great or healthy way but rather when it depletes you or causes an imbalance in your life.
We feel that it's important to parse out, because there may be something deeper at the root that can ride along unnoticed or may be hard to discern.
The very wonderful Raphaela Browne is back to co-host. Together we discuss the layers and the facets along with how to bring ourselves more into alignment with what we value in life.

Do you ever find yourself weighed down by perfectionism?
Whether you're s self-acknowledging perfectionist or whether perfectionism sneaks through the back door once in a while, today we parse out many facets as to its impact and origin.
We go into this nuanced territory with some pictorial scenes to illustrate just how complex perfectionism can be. At the same time, there are many ways to extricate ourselves from this heavy burden.
I loved this conversation so much and am so lucky to have Alison Scott here today for our last of this 4-part series.
I hope you enjoy this episode. We are sending our gratitude and our belief.

Today Alison Scott and I continue our conversation from last week. We discuss the relatable feelings of overwhelm that can come when your pursuits or circumstances seem hard.
Our conversation today is meant to offer companionship and shared insight and to safeguard your passions, projects, voice, priorities, creativity, contributions etc.
Sometimes there are also factors outside of our control. Today we consider the complexities of those situations while also protecting your choices and your personhood.
Perhaps it's in those moments that we become even more resilient and creative than we know we could be.

What do you do when you want to quit?
Today, Alison Scott and I reflect, laugh and strategize on this interesting topic.
Wanting to quit is a very relatable feeling in the midst of a pursuit or project.
If we're not careful though, it can be very isolating, and it might start to garner more power and wrongful messaging than it should.
Today we talk about how to listen to what is needed in this space, rather than letting those thoughts spiral or allowing them to mean something that isn't true.
It's so important that we are protective over your passions, pursuits, talents and voice.

Do you have something that you've always wanted to do or be, but somewhere along the line you've disallowed yourself from pursuing it? Or perhaps you've pursued it, but you're continually plagued with a lot of heavy self-doubt?
Today, we mindfully linger in this place so that you can break away from a wrongly imposed belief that may have been set in motion by one comment or one person a long time ago.
You are the one who really knows yourself, and one outside person's contrary opinion should not be the determiner of your life paths.
Imagine the experiences, friendships, contributions, etc that may open up if you dare to think differently.
You may even feel a lot more like your true self once you start to let these parts of yourself be expressed.
