  • 76: Might You Have Self-Imposed Limitations? Part 3 - with Guest Co-Host Dan Loney

I'm so pleased to have Dan Loney back to finish our series on self-imposed limitations.

Today we discuss how you can unlock new truths by questioning your previously held subconscious beliefs.

We also touch on how various inequities might impact each of us.

What possibilities lie on the other side of your own unconscious limitations? How might that change your life as well as your contributions?

I send both my empathy and emboldening support as you consider these things.

Dan Loney is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) practicing out of San Diego, California. He specializes in identity work and helping people free themselves from stuck states. Over the past 14 years, he has been committed to developing content to help people connect more deeply to themselves and others. He is an accomplished athlete - competing in both soccer and tennis leagues, while also recently taking a deeper dive into yoga and breathwork.

  • 75: Might You Have Self-Imposed Limitations? Part 2 - with Guest Co-Host Dan Loney

Today Dan Loney, licensed marriage and family therapist, is back to continue our conversation about self-imposed limitations, which we also refer to as "soul limitations."

What kinds of limitations might you unknowingly be agreeing with?

And again, I ask this with kind curiosity, not with criticism.

Might there be something that is limiting you because of a certain belief or perception?

We honor why we have come to believe these things, while at the same time question if it's really true.

What could be the impact if you looked beyond a held limitation or considered moving through it?

  • 74: Might You Have Self-Imposed Limitations? Part 1 - with Guest Co-Host Dan Loney

Is it possible that you might, even accidentally, be living with some self-imposed limitations?

I ask this question with kind curiosity, not with accusation. But it's an interesting thing to ponder because, oftentimes, we only know what we know.

Are there ways that you have kept a limitation on yourself? What have you acquired along the way when it comes to self-belief?

How might it impact your life if you could discover and move through a self-imposed limitation? What would happen if you dared to think differently?

I am so grateful to have Dan Loney, licensed marriage and family therapist, back on the podcast today to dive into this rich terrain. So rich, in fact, that this episode is Part 1 of 3.

Dan brings a gorgeous hybrid of professional expertise and personal contemplation to our conversation. I hope you enjoy it.

  • 73: Detangling Resistances and Coming From a Place of Purpose with Guest Co-Host Kat Jackson

Have you ever found that you can be pretty clever when it comes to finding "reasons" for not doing that thing that you really want to do? It's so relatable.

If we gently got to the root of your "resistance," there might likely be a childhood hurt or old belief underneath. Compassionately detangling these areas can catalyze clarity, bravery, and confidence.

I am so thrilled to have Kat Jackson back on the podcast today.

We discuss how to compassionately detangle resistances in order to find the freedom to use your voice - whether literally or metaphorically.

Alongside the nuances of moving through resistance, we also discuss how coming from a place of purpose brings so much more clarity and confidence.

  • 71: Moving Through Fear - What’s the Worst Thing That Could Happen (Get Ready to Laugh!)? With Guest Co-Host Leslie Page

I am so excited to have Leslie Page back, and today I am bringing my part to our dual-storytelling adventure.

Have you ever moved through fear and had it not go as well as you'd hoped?

Well, that's exactly what happened to me. It's a story of mishaps and embarrassments that in the end turned into one of the most treasured and meaningful memories of my life.

It's my hope that my story will be bolstering to anyone who worries about perfectionism. Sometimes even a nerve-wracking turn-of-events can become a very empowering situation.

Please laugh alongside me as I describe a time I moved through fear. As laughable as it all was, it did have an incredibly happy ending.

If you happen to have missed last week, I think you will really love what Leslie shared.

It's our hope that in bringing our stories of moving through fear, that we will all inspire each other to continue to be just a little bit braver.

Once again, the human spirit is so beautiful. So go on and get at whatever it is that you're afraid to do.  :)

  • 70: How Moving Through Fear Can Be Empowering and Life-Changing with Guest Co-Host Leslie Page

My guess is that today's episode will really tug at your heart strings as well as give you an extra measure of courage to move through anything in your life that has a bit of fear attached to it.

I am so delighted to have Leslie Page back to continue our series on fear - which we will conclude over the next two weeks with a focus on storytelling.

We wanted to link arms with you in the hopes that the sharing of our real, somewhat-vulnerable and illustrative stories might help to catalyze inspiration and bravery for us all.

Today, Leslie shares an incredible story that spans all of the emotions. It has all the makings of a real-life, feel-good movie. Perhaps, you will also see yourself within the details of her sharing.

The intent of these storytelling episodes is to normalize fear and prove that not only does it not have to be an unconquerable force, but also that what lies just on the other side is beautifully unimaginable in all the best ways..

It's my belief that Leslie's share will help to disallow fear from keeping you resigned, and she and I can only imagine the amazing things that you will find as you step over the threshold.

  • 68: Finding Yourself and Using Your Voice with Kat Jackson

Have you ever felt that parts of yourself have been quieted?

Or perhaps, there are times when you’re afraid to say what you’d like to say?

Today, we’re talking about finding yourself and using your voice.

Interestingly, sometimes it's even the most successful and evolved people who still desire to unveil truer parts of themselves.

Kat Jackson is a perfect example of someone who is successful and beloved! Today she shares stories about how she is continuing to find herself more and more - and how she is expressing herself more fully with her voice, in her art and within her relationships.

I'm so excited and honored to have Kat on the podcast. I think that you just might find yourself in some of her stories. I know I did.

It's so inspiring to see someone come home to themselves, while it also gives each of us permission to be even more curious about our own selves.

This topic is so vital, especially for anyone who has ever been criticized or felt dismissed. I might venture to say that has happened to almost everyone.

In various seasons or stages of your life, this may take on different forms.

How does this land for you right now?

Can you think of aspects of yourself that may have gone just a little bit dormant? Sometimes, you may have, even accidentally or subconsciously, adapted to fit into a place where parts of yourself were not welcome.

Do you ever feel that you just might have more to say - metaphorically or literally? How would it feel to come home to yourself and speak authentically?

The human spirit is just so beautiful, so brilliant! Let's awaken each of ours and shine just a little bit more.
