The problem with gun control is there are a lot of rejects out there that take gun control and gun ownership rights to a massive extreme. And we’ve all seen those guys wearing a pair of combat fatigues, a T-shirt that says America rocks, and a M-4 or an assault weapon strapped to their back. Or the guy who walks down the street with a loaded weapon because there’s an open carry law and just attracts police officers.And the only reason why he’s out there is to cause discontent, anger and get everybody all stirred up so that he can claim that it’s his right to carry a gun in the open. Well, it is your right but you’re an idiot. Unfortunately, you also have a right to be stupid, which you are.But, this question of gun rights and gun ownership is an important one.If you take a look at the private Facebook page, a friend of the show, Charles S. This is kind of the same thing that they’re doing with gun control and I wanted to share some comments about it.And we had a really great conversation with Uli Malsch about gun control.So I want to run through my belief systems about gun control, where it lies and what your responsibilities are and what the government’s responsibilities are in relationship to gun control.You can go to the show to read all of the comments about it and I’d love to get input from others of you who are interested on this topic. The critical question that must be asked is do you have a constitutional right protected by the government to keep and bear arms?Unequivocally, the answer to that is yes. If we take a look at the second amendment, it says very clearly a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. There is no question as to whether or not you as an American citizen has a right to own a gun.What you hear liberals and progressives say is that no, you can’t. They say, yes you can own something for self defense or for hunting but you should not be allowed to have these killing machines that’s designed for war.Here’s the problem with that. First of all, there’s only one reason that we create guns and that’s to kill.We don’t create guns for target practice, for fun and enjoyment. People use them for that but guns are designed for one thing and that’s to kill, to take life, be it the life of an animal or the life of a human being.They are a disgusting but necessary weapon in the protection of yourself.And what people also suggest is people don’t need a semi automatic weapon for home defense.But you see, the problem is that the Constitution doesn’t say that the reason you get to carry a weapon is so you get to protect your home.Or so you have the right to hunt and collect food. No, it doesn’t.You see, the framers understood something very simple. That we have certain inalienable rights. Certain rights that a government doesn’t have the right to take away from us.And if you look at our Constitution, it’s basically a list of things that the government does not have the right to do.The Bill of Rights are rights that you have. They’re not rights that the government gives to you. They’re rights that you have that the government cannot take away. So now the question becomes, what is the Federal government’s responsibility?Can they keep track of who owns guns?Can they require you to go through a background check?Can they limit what types of weapons you’re allowed to buy?Because, as we stated already, the Constitution does not specify that.But here’s the beautiful thing about the Constitution, the framers understood exactly what they were doing. So they went ahead and added the 10th amendment which says the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution or prohibited by the states are reserved by the states respectively or to the people.Therefore, states have the responsibilities to determine what that means. When you stuck and forced to allow the government to do it? Look at Ferguson and what happened with that. There were certain people who stood out in the streets and armed themselves and guess what, those places didn’t get robbed.The rest of the people waiting on the government, waiting on the police force, waited on the National Guard to come and help them while their city was burning down around them. And they never showed up. The Russians during the height of the Cold War believed that they could defeat the American army. What they knew they could not defeat was the American cowboy with a 4 wheel drive and a shot gun.This is not just a bunch of people who don’t understand or what to be able to own guns above and beyond what is best for America.Gun ownership, you can look at any city with restrictive gun rights like Chicago, D.C., New York City, the crime rates are through the roof. And they have the strictest gun laws in America.Removing guns from the equation doesn’t change things. All it means is that they chase down people with hatchets. All it means is there are more killings with hammers.But the most important thing about gun ownership is the fact that you are able to protects the inalienable rights given to you by God from anyone, be it an individual or a government who seek to strip you of those rights. Whether or not you got the moxie to actually do it is up to you but gun ownership ensures that right. This Democrat Congressman, Worth Almost $20 Million, Receives Food Stamps for His Childrenhttp://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/democrat-congressman-worth-almost-20-million-receives-food-stamps-children/Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), a sleazy trial attorney and left-wing loon, was just named the 17th wealthiest member of Congress. Considering all the inherited money, lobbyists, and shady deals which happen in Washington, D.C., that is an impressive ranking.But Grayson has another dubious distinction: a dead beat dad. After being married for 29 years to Lolita Grayson, he is refusing to support her or his children. Why? Because he is shamefully arguing his wife’s first marriage was supposedly never fully ended, so Alan’s marriage to her was never legitimate.This is an incredible example of liberal hypocrisy. Grayson, who never met a tax increase or government program he wouldn’t force us all to pay for, is allowing his children to receive food stamps while he lives in a luxurious Florida mansion.I don’t know if you guys remember Alan Grayson but he is a dirtball. He use any type of sleepy tactic to get his way. He is worth about $20 million dollars, the 17th wealthiest member of Congress. When I saw this story, I immediately knew who this guy was because during the healthcare debate, this is what he said on the House floor.Alan Grayson on the GOP Health Care Plan: "Don't Get Sick! And if You Do Get Sick, Die Quickly!"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-usmvYOPfcoRepublican plan for healthcare in America is ‘die quickly’ and it was a flat out lie, it was disgusting to see him stand up and suggest that because Republicans don’t believe that somebody else ought to pay for your healthcare that somehow that means they want you to die.So when I heard this story, it turns out that he has an ex wife that he’s claiming that she was never actually divorced from her first husband but he has children with her. But because of this, he doesn’t believe that he has to pay child support to her so she now has to live on foodstamps.This is a man who won’t even take care of his own children yet, what he would have you believe on the Senate floor is that he cares so much about, that the Republicans hate you so much, that they want you to die quickly.This is a perfect example. This is what progressives do.They love taking credit for spending somebody else’s money. He won’t even spend his own to keep his own kids off foodstamps but he’s ready and willing, he’s never seen a tax increase he didn’t like or a government program that can force you to spend money on and then take credit for, he just loves doing that.People don’t like to hear the term redistribution but ladies and gentlemen, this is exactly what this is. It is a tax that benefits one group of people to the detriment of another. Google is developing cancer and heart attack detectorhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-29802581Google is aiming to diagnose cancers, impending heart attacks or strokes and other diseases, at a much earlier stage than is currently possible.The company is working on technology that combines disease-detecting nanoparticles, which would enter a patient's bloodstream via a swallowed pill, with a wrist-worn sensor.The idea is to identify slight changes in the person's biochemistry that could act as an early warning system.The work is still at an early stage. Google Inc. X Lab Working on Magnetic Pill to Detect Cancerhttp://www.pfhub.com/google-inc-x-lab-working-on-magnetic-pill-to-detect-cancer-1343/Google is said to be working on magnetic pills that will not only detect cancer cells in human body, but will destroy them as well. The project was announced on Tuesday and is being looked at as a hope to improve the quality of life for people around the globe.Google X research lab’s head of life science Andrew Conrad explained that they are trying to change the medicine from reactive to proactive. That means that these pills will be able to detect the cancerous cells ahead of time and thus prevent cancer altogether. He said that they are aiming at building nanoparticles that will have the ability to detect any disease. Conrad told the audience at a Wall Street Journal conference that Nanoparticles are the union of biology and engineering, which will help in observing the human body at a cellular and molecular level.He also said that the team working on the project includes a cancer specialist along with other doctors as well as electrical and mechanical engineers, an astrophysicist is also there to guide them on how to track the particles that are present in the body.Now, here’s my question to you: if it could really detect cancer, if it could really detect a heart attack, would you swallow the pill?It is Google, after all. Hundreds of other non-citizens may be on the rolls.A voter-registration card is routinely issued without any identification check, and undocumented workers can use it for many purposes, including obtaining a driver’s license and qualifying for a job. But she is concerned because she is not a legal immigrant. The campaign manager just says it’s fine, just go, no problem.These people who are facilitating the voting, they have no respect. And the people who are looking to get elected have no respect for the process. I hope that every single one of these guys go to jail because this is one of the most important freedoms that we have. What Happens When A School Pays Teachers $125,000 A Yearhttp://hereandnow.wbur.org/2014/10/27/teacher-salary-studyHigher teacher salaries may help students do better in school, according to a study by Mathmatica Policy Research. The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School in New York City pays its teachers $125,000 a year, plus bonuses.The research, which was funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, shows test scores at the charter school are higher in math, science and English.The study was authored by Joshua Furgeson, Moira McCullough, Clare Wolfendale, Brian Gill.“We found that after four years of being enrolled in TEP, that students achieved about an additional 1.6 years of school in math, about 0.6 years of school in science, about 0.4 years of schooling in English language arts,” Furgeson told Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson.Unfortunately, this is not the case. The pay alone isn't not the deciding factor whether or not you're going to get good teachers.If you can't fire a teacher, if you got all kinds of rules and regulations on what a teacher can teach and how a teacher can teach it, then you don't get better teachers.What you get is more expensive teachers. You get the same crummy teachers you've always had but you get more costly ones. What the charter schools prove is that when you separate yourself from the bureaucracy, when you have the ability to be discretionary in your hiring and firing, when you hold teachers to a higher standard, and compensate them better, what happens is more good teachers comes to you. It's amazing how that works.Good teachers want to work with other good teachers. No teacher wants to work in a place where they're surrounded by terrible teachers, where they're surrounded by a school administration that doesn't care about the kids, that doesn't care about the education process, who isn't willing to listen to new ideas or think outside the box. Good teachers don't want to work at those places. So when you offer them an alternative like a private charter school, they will flood there. Charter schools really has their pick of the liter because they will pay more.And guess what, people who care about a better education for their kids will also seek out those schools, they will find the extra money that they need in order to pay for the tuition. But this is a discussion for another day and I want to touch back on this later.Until next time, be safe and be good.I will talk to you on Monday.Support the show.

It crosses the spectrum.There’s updates on the beheading that I talked about yesterday, the ebola crisis, we’ve got some political news, we’ve got stuff on Eric Holder and the controversy there with subpoenas of reporter’s emails.And we’ve got an incredible story out of the Justice Department, claims Blacks and Hispanics are dumb and unsophisticated, I am not kidding you. That’s a real thing, we’re going to talk about that today as well.Maybe the biggest news on the front today is what the Federal Reserve did yesterday on it’s bond buying and asset purchase program. They ended up ending it.Now, many of you probably don’t care about that because you don’t understand it. And what I want to try and do is to shed some light on the Federal Reserve, the policies they institute, the way the banking system in America and really around the world works.Now, I know what a lot of you are thinking, that theres nothing that I want to do less than listen to explanations about how banking structures work. They are doing this by contesting Voter ID laws that are being passed in many states despite a nearly unbroken string of defeats in appeals courts.To make their case that Voter ID laws are discriminatory the Justice Department has testified time and again that black and Hispanic voters are less capable that white voters of obtaining the necessary ID and in understanding the candidates and issues.They are making a case here, the Justice Department and the NAACP are in court, making a case for voter ID and there should not be any voter ID laws because it unfairly discriminates against minorities.Well, how can that be? I mean, we have cars and anybody can get an ID. How could it possibly discriminate against minorities? And so you can’t really make the case that it’s discriminatory on a financial basis when it’s so easy to get a photo ID.Let me preface this by giving you my opinion about voter ID. I don’t care.There are so few recorded cases in the history of elections of verifiable voter fraud. I’m not saying it doesn’t take place. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have a voter ID law.I’m just saying all of those Republicans out there who are talking about voter fraud and how it’s costing us elections, it isn’t the case. The reasons Republicans can’t win elections is because they don’t stand for anything. That’s why they can’t win elections. It’s because they’re lukewarm on every issue. They’re kind of for it but not really for it. And so when you don’t stand for anything, you don’t inspire confidence in anyone. And when you don’t inspire confidence in anyone, they don’t feel like you’re really there to support them, which you’re not.The left, on the other hand, the progressive movement, boy you know where they stand. There’s no wishy washy questioning about their position like gay rights, immigration, healthcare. And what’s unfortunate is that the Republican Party has taken on a tact that says we want to be the same but just a little different. And that’s why they can’t win elections.At the preliminary injunction hearing in July, before Judge Thomas D. Schroeder in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, the government produced Professor Charles Stewart of MIT’s political-science department. According to the transcript of that proceeding, when Stewart was asked why he believed that eliminating same-day registration (which only eleven states have) was discriminatory, he said that same-day registration provides “a mechanism and a time that’s well situated for less sophisticated voters, and therefore, it’s less likely to imagine that these voters would — can figure out or would avail themselves of other forms of registering and voting” (emphasis mine).And who are those “less sophisticated voters” who can’t “figure out” how to register to vote? They “tend to be African Americans,” according to Stewart. He added that “people who register to vote the closer and closer one gets to Election Day tend to be . . . less-educated voters, tend to be voters who are less attuned to public affairs.” Stewart said that these voters “tend to be African Americans.” Of course, the voter-registration data in North Carolina directly contradicts this, since Stewart was forced to admit that blacks in North Carolina actually “were registered at a higher rate than whites” before Election Day in the 2012 election.Stewart leveled the same type of criticism at a measure to reduce the number of early-voting days. African Americans would be deterred from voting, he said again, because they are “less sophisticated voters.” He denied that he was racially stereotyping blacks — even when he said that they have a harder time figuring out how “to navigate the rules of the game.” He admitted that he did not survey black voters in North Carolina to ask them “directly about understanding the rules of registering and voting.”The NAACP’s expert was another professor, Barry Burden, of the University of Wisconsin. Burden claimed that blacks and Hispanics are less able “to pay the costs of voting” because of the “stark differences between whites, on the one hand, in North Carolina and those of blacks and Latinos in North Carolina.” By costs, Burden was referring to “the time and effort that a voter has to put in in order to participate.” That includes “locating the polling place, getting the right paperwork, understanding who the candidates are, becoming informed.” From his testimony, it was clear that Burden did not think that blacks and Hispanics have the same ability as whites to accomplish basic tasks such as locating a polling place, filling out a one-page voter-registration form, and learning what issues candidates support or oppose.They are literally saying that it is an undue burden on minorities to force them to find their polling place, fill out a registration form, and to do their own research to understand who they’re voting for and why because Blacks are not sophisticated enough to understand that.This is what the government is using to make their argument. To those of you who are African Americans or Hispanics, because they’re basically saying the same thing about Hispanics. But specifically, to the African American community because there seems to be a lot of divide between Blacks and Whites.There seems to be a lot of racial tensions going on right now. This is what your government thinks of you. This is what Eric Holder of the Justice Department thinks of you. They think that you’re stupid. They think that you are less intelligent than White people. Less capable of understanding the vote and the people who are running for political office. And so, you need special privilege, someone to hold your hand and make sure that you get walked to the right polling station and somebody fills out the information for you, someone sits down and explains to you the candidates.I would be more than offended. I would be outraged. I just can’t believe that they would actually in open court make these kinds of accusations against the Black community.It’s got nothing to do with you, the Black voter at the end of the day. It only got to do with being able to put as many people in the polling place who have no idea what the issues are and getting them to vote a specific line. To get the most amount of uninformed people to the polling place to vote. And to get them to the polling place, to get them to vote a straight line Democratic vote.That’s what this is about. And if they have to make you all out to be stupid, ignorant, less than human, in terms of your intellect and capacity, well that’s fine because it accomplishes the goal so they’ll do it. The goal of getting Democrats elected. It’s appalling. And you all ought to be outraged about it so I’m just letting you know what’s going on. Right now, our government has to issue debt every single month in order to pay it's bills. It runs a deficit of half a trillion dollars a year.In order to spend that money, we have to borrow that money. The government does that by issuing debt and that debt goes out into the open market. Anyone out there is allowed to buy it.What has been happening is, right now, in order to keep interest rates low, in order to keep money flowing into the economy, the Federal Reserve has been buying those bonds in order to keep the bond prices down.And, then what happens is, the remainder of the bonds are at a lower interest rate because there are less of them, which causes a higher demand on them. They were lady implicated in a prostitution scandal. And 8 of them were subsequently fired. For those of you who don’t understand how an advanced detail works, let me explain.When you’re doing close protection work, of which I have quite a bit of experience, you have on a large scale operation like you would have protecting a President or high ranking Senators or something like that, you typically have two teams. You have the actual close protection element that guards the person that you’re there to protect. And you have an advanced team that goes to the locations that the individual is going to be at prior to them arriving, does a bunch of coordination, and makes sure that things are secure.So you have a group of secret service agents who travel to Colombia as part of the advanced element. And while they were there, they got their advance work done, it was late in the night, they got an itch they got to scratch, it’s right there. It’s right in front of you, just go over there. So they ended up paying for sex and got kicked out of the Secret Service.Now, they had assigned an investigator, David Nieland, to try and figure out if a crime had been committed here. He was part of the Department of Homeland Security who was tasked with the internal review of the Secrete Service in the 2012 prostitution scandal. So if you run a company with 50 or more employees or if you work for a company that has more than 50 employees, you’re going to be affected.Under the new mandate, if a company does not offer health insurance and has at least one employee receiving a subsidy from the government then that company must pay a $2,000 fine per employee.Even if the company does offer health insurance, if they have an employee who can get a better deal with a subsidized insurance program, that company will also be taxed at $2,000 per employee (exempting the first30 employees).”EXCERPT: “But it doesn’t stop there. Even if the employer does offer health insurance, if one person who works for them opts for an alternative, subsidized health insurance, that company is still liable to for the penalty because the company did not provide “adequate” coverage. So they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t.Now step back for a moment and let’s contemplate what the cost of providing coverage might be to those employers. Remember, by the IRS’s own filings they expect the cheapest plan to run $20,000 year. What you will see over the next several years is companies dropping their health insurance coverage and pushing people onto the exchanges.” What it all means for you, your children, and your grandchildren?EXCERPT: “The new law will have a very damaging effect on entry­ level workers. When I turned 16, I walked across the street from my house and got a job washing dishes at a Pizza Hut for $5 an hour. Over the course of the next several years I moved from one company to the next. There was a high degree of mobility and I had the opportunity to advance at a young age. In the summer I switched from working 20 hours a week to 40 or 50, depending on who I was working for and how badly I needed money. There was a massive amount of opportunity for a kid who was willing to work hard.I also gained a great deal of work experience. I had the chance to work in a variety of industries and even tried my hand at entrepreneurship by cutting grass with a friend in the summer. Entry ­level jobs were easy to come by and a poor kid like me learned a lot about the value of hard work. Had I decided to stay at the Pizza Hut, I could have easily worked my way up to a manager and even purchased my own franchises down the line. There was upward mobility, a chance to start at the bottom and retire rich.I think that kind of opportunity is over. With the passage of ObamaCare, companies like Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Home Depot, and a host of other companies that offer a low barrier for entry and a chance to advance, will have to drastically change the way the hire and advance employees.”As is typical with progressives, they have the best of intentions but they're never measured on the outcomes, only on the intentions. They had an intention of healthcare for all as though you could just mandate that everybody receives a certain amount of a commodity and not affect the supply and demand of that commodity at all.And this is what you get. Now people who have subsidized health programs, they don't have coverage. In fact, they can't even find a doctor. What will happen over time is fewer and fewer future students are going to get into the medical field to become doctors.It's coming, it's here now.
