Have you ever heard the phrase “the carrot or the stick?” The carrot is typically seen as the reward in the phrase and the stick, the punishment. Knowing several littles and masochists who would argue this pretty hard, I have to disagree that it’s that simple. However, rewards and punishments are something which all people could benefit from learning, and especially those in dynamics where you’ve negotiated or want to negotiate behavior modification. We talk about the basics of what rewards and punishments are, how they work, and talk about far too many examples!
