Tim Burton leans into the aesthetic of Gotham with a heavy hand and it lends itself to comic book storytelling. Danny Elfman turns in a score with perhaps one of the best themes of his career, and Michelle Pfeiffer plays an unforgetable Catwoman. It's an excellent Rogue's Gallery of villains with Walken being at his most Walken. Although considered inferior to the original picture, we are here to tell you that it's extremely watchable and a perfect Christmas watch.

This picture is an excellent look on what it's like to be an outsider trying to fit in with a "normal" family and all of the things that can go both right and wrong. There is a beautiful score provided by Danny Elfman, and some excellent performances by the supporting cast. It's a dark fairy tale classic.

Gary Oldman needs a bite to drink to help himself wash down all the scenery that he's chewing on. Keaunu is servicable, but not his best, and Winona is great. Hopkins is always good, but the biggest success of this flim is the production value, directing, cinematography, and the score.

It paints an incredible picture of a dark fantasy that truly feels supernatural. Special shout-out to the cosutme department - they crushed harder than Dracula crushed Lucy while transformed into a wolf, bat, type thing. If you know you know.
