ThankYouX began his artistic journey on the streets of Los Angeles in spray painting stencils in homage to Andy Warhol. While these signature stencils were his initial calling card, they were only scratching the surface of his multifaceted artistic identity. As his level of notoriety expanded, the nature of his expression evolved to modern abstract designs that stand in contrast to the more conventional graffiti-inspired street-art paradigm. His unique aesthetic has captured attention of the art world and earned international acclaim.
In recent years he’s continued to develop as an artist and has entered the wonderful world of NFTs so in this episode we’re grateful to explore how he’s gone from the fine art world into the world of crypto art.
In this episode we cover:
- How’d you go from the fine art world to NFTs?
- His Nifty Gateway collaborations with photographer JN Silva
- Why he did Loyalty airdrops to his existing collectors & NFT holders
- The role of Clubhouse in drops, community and expanding the space’s reach
- Keeping from being bulldozed by big name and money entrants
