To get a drivers licenses in the US, you must first take a permit test, have a certain number of hours driving, and pass a driving test. To become a lawyer, you must go to an accredited university and pass the bar exam. To work at a fast food restaurant, you have to pass a background check. But there is one job, arguably the most important job in the world, that has no background checks, no education needed, no exams passed- and that’s being a mother.
