The Opperman Report'

Cait Boyce : Falcon & The Snowman / Kristin Beck Trangender Navy SEAL

"A beautifully written thriller, an endearing love story, a compelling narrative of survival and redemption... full of new details, probing personal revelations, and twists and turns that keep you flipping pages as fast as you can." - Robert Lindsey, author of The Falcon and the Snowman

"A compelling, immersive memoir of crime, punishment, and the redemptive qualities of love and atonement." - Kirkus Reviews

The gripping sequel to The Falcon and the Snowman that chronicles the subsequent events in the lives of convicted American spies Christopher Boyce and Andrew Daulton Lee.

In 1977, Christopher Boyce and Andrew Daulton Lee were convicted of selling U.S. secrets to the Soviet Union. Boyce was sentenced to 40 years imprisonment. Lee received a life sentence. The story of their crime, as told in the book and movie The Falcon and the Snowman, was only the beginning of their ordeal.

American Sons: The Untold Story of the Falcon and the Snowman picks up where The Falcon and the Snowman left off, chronicling Boyce's daring 1980 prison escape and recapture, and telling the true story of how two of America's youngest convicted spies survived decades in prison.

Written by Christopher Boyce, Cait Boyce and Vince Font, American Sons: The Untold Story of the Falcon and the Snowman gives readers a deeply intimate look at the struggles of two men whose actions cost them decades in prison - and how the efforts of a young, idealistic paralegal helped them become free men.

Jasun Horsley spent his early life fleeing from a sense of unreality and has been trying to get to the bottom of it ever since. A childhood love of superheroes became an adolescent passion for movies and eventually transmogrified into an obsession with the occult. In forty-five years of earthly existence, he has been a New York barfly, a Hollywood wanna-be, a sorcerer-chaser in Mexico, an acid-eater on Haight-Ashbury. He had an End-Times community in Taos, was destitute in North Africa, begged in Paris, lived with Benedictine monks in France, ran with the bulls in Pamplona, had alien encounters in Navarra, apprenticed with a shaman in Guatemala, lost his mind in Columbia, made digital movies in London, edited a newspaper in Oaxaca, read Tarot in Portugal, saw UFOs in Patmos, ran an existential detective agency, and followed a guru in Canada. He is currently working with Dave Oshana and laying the groundwork for his next incarnation. While sure his life is fiction, he has yet to meet the author.

He has written several books under the names Jake and Jason Horsley and Aeolus Kephas, and had a run of podcasts, "Stormy Weather" and "Warty Theorems."

During November 2019, I had the pleasure to be a guest on 'The Opperman Report,' as hosted by US investigator and broadcaster, Ed Opperman. The topic for discussion was The Occult Beatles, including John Lennon's relationship with the controversial British Black power activist and 60s counter-culture figure Michael X, Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills, the ongoing 'Paul is Dead' claims, the Beatles' early years in Liverpool (and its occult connotations), and The Beatles' relationship with the 60s avant-garde movement, plus more. Please listen to all three episodes for the full experience.

Tesla is the most exciting car company in a generation . . . but can it live up to the hype?

Tesla Motors and CEO Elon Musk have become household names, shaking up the staid auto industry by creating a set of innovative electric vehicles that have wowed the marketplace and defied conventional wisdom. The company's market valuation now rivals that of long-established automakers, and, to many industry observers, Tesla is defining the future of the industry.

But behind the hype, Tesla has some serious deficiencies that raise questions about its sky-high valuation, and even its ultimate survival.

Tesla's commitment to innovation has led it to reject the careful, zero-defects approach of other car manufacturers, even as it struggles to mass-produce cars reliably, and with minimal defects. While most car manufacturers struggle with the razor-thin margins of mid-priced sedans, Tesla's strategy requires that the Model 3 finally bring it to profitability, even as the high-priced Roadster and Model S both lost money. And Tesla's approach of continually focusing on the future, even as commitments and deadlines are repeatedly missed, may ultimately test the patience of all but its most devoted fans.

In Ludicrous, journalist and auto industry analyst Edward Niedermeyer lays bare the disconnect between the popular perception of Tesla and the day-to-day realities of the company—and the cars it produces. Blending original reporting and never-before-published insider accounts with savvy industry analysis, Niedermeyer tells the story of Tesla as it's never been told before—with clear eyes, objectivity and insight.
