The show hit the road once again, and in a big way! Capt. Kevin made his way west with Fishing Forecast co-host Ricky Poupore to do the show live from Steinhatchee River Club! And even though he couldn’t be there, Jeff did manage to call in.
So, what in the wide wide world of sports did they talk about? They talked about EVERYTHING! Fishing (of course), turkey hunting, food and a whole lot more.

It’s a shame this is just an audio podcast, because if could look at Capt. Kevin, Capt. Scott and Capt. Ricky…well, on second thought, that might be a shame if you DID have to look at their mugs. Anyway, the point is that, if you saw them, you’d see red cheeks and wind-blown hair that looked like it came out of a shampoo commercial. It’s SO windy!!!!!
Yes, the wind is typical for this time of year, but the question is this: will it continue to blow for you this week, and how’s that going to affect the fishing? Listen in to find out…
The boys were on the road again, this time from Hagan Ace in Orange Park on US-17 (Park Avenue)! It’s their grand opening at that location, and they guys were checking out all the great products and amazing deals throughout the show.
That doesn’t mean they didn’t talk outdoors – OF COURSE THEY DID! Turkey, fishing, weather…you name it, the boys yakked about it!
Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week from Captain Kevin: Penn hook outs. Be sure to check out the pic on Facebook – his pair looks terrible but they are 4 years old and still work perfectly!

Ummm…what the what? Why is it so stinking cold? Why is Capt. Scott wearing FIVE LAYERS for a charter? Why is Capt. Kevin thinking about buying ice fishing gear?
Okay, so it isn’t exactly the Artic Circle these days, but boy, does it do a number on the fish. Find out just how much they slowed down…and more importantly, if things are going to warm up any time soon…
So, if you’re part of the Outdoors Show family, you know that Jeff sure does love to eat. Well, in the wake of his less-than-stellar performance in the 2023 El Cheapo, he was eating some crow in this episode! Both Jeff and Capt. Kirk had some great stories from the tournament, and Kevin had some great fishing stories of his own.

As you’d expect, there was a lot of fishing talk and updates about the tournament, too. But take a look and the calendar…it’s almost turkey time, so you can bet there’s some talk about those birds!

Ricky picked up on it right away! They all talked about how things are gearing up for another great season, and they also shared the forecast that may make you think the same thing.
