In this edition of Locked on Capitals I'm joined by Luke James of the Hockey Writer's as we talk about the outlook for this year's Capitals team. We'll talk about Alex Ovechkin's goal chase and when will he pass Gordie Howe, and what will stand in his way from passing Wayne Gretzky. The Capitals added some needed pieces by signing Connor Brown for Tom Wilson and Dylan Strome for Nick Backstrom's absence. Where those players will fit into the lineup will ultimately be decided by how they perform in camp and in preseason games.

Later in the show we talk about the netminding situation and if Darcy Kuemper and Charlie Lindgren tandem will be enough to take this Capitals team over the top.

To close the show we'll talk about last summer's draft and the Capitals selections in Ivan Miroshnichenko and Ryan Chesley.
