The Pantheon episodes

  • Hipsodirvines (Encylopedia)

Yes, what you read there was complete nonsense. But coming up with words is hard, okay?

Anyways, hope everyone's doing well. Things are progressing unfortunately for the bulk of us, I'm afraid, but within the ever increasing layers of insanity we're smothering ourselves in, there is hope for the future. Maybe we'll uncover it.

We won't uncover it here, unfortunately. My encyclopedia narrator is nothing short of a grouch :(  .  It'd be hard for us to blame him if we really knew him, but then... if we really knew him, we'd have a whole slew of other problems.

I know him. Partially. Do not envy me for that.

  • Hotel Ymbria

Like the Hotel California, except not. Is the hotel even in the state of California? Probably not. Would that matter? No.

  • Bloodhounds

I've found this concept before, but it seems anathema to me. Industry runs in my blood. But, really... if what we work for is not for the betterment of ourselves and society, then why ought we to do it?

Not advocating laziness. I'm just saying, if your job is plainly evil, perhaps the best thing you can do is fail at it and leach off as much money as possible :P

  • Usual Place, Usual Time

I think this was the Pantheon's tribute to pride month, or something. Thus the fixture of a 'closet' making an appearance. But you know. This place is this place, and it descends into utter madness real nicely. Just like we all love :P

  • 3PM, Brother Spruce

Real short guy. Couldn't be taller than four feet. But we let him ride the roller coaster because he's just really insistent on it.

Keep the name in your head, Brother Spruce. Keep all the names in your head as you wage the war of total absolution.

Keep the name in your head, too, dear listener. The 'Brother' will appear again, and again, and again. He usually won't give you his name, or even the sound that he is going by. But he is there, as much as SHE ever was.

    Yes, She. Our Lady.

Things are always more complicated than you think they are.

  • 3PM, The Left Hand

Two for one here! Two for the price of one!

I don't know why I like 3pm so much. In terms of time of day, it's not the best, unless you live in a place that's cold, probably.

But here again we see wars. We do not ask today why we fight, but rather, how. The callous machines created by the amalgamation of our consciousnesses are all too willing to manipulate and  those who are most vulnerable into deeds of great evil. Where does the blame lie?

If you have the intelligence to understand my questions, you know where it lies. Here, there, everywhere, in everyone and everything. But the manipulator bears the most.

  • Consolation Prize

Twists and turns here! We got your twists and turns here!

Well, just one, but if you figure it out before I make it explicit, give yourself a big old pat on the back and make your shower a little warmer than usual today. You'll have earned it.

  • The Big Bad, and the Big Erm... What's a Bad Word for Neutrality? (The Pantheon, HGC)

The HGC has appeared multiple times, and it's, well, it's kind of obvious. The future analogue of a thousand different empires, compounded into the true nihilism of a time after meaningless tragedy. Sometimes it does good, sometimes it does bad. Every nation state today is a little HGC.

Acronyms are really fun to say. Roll 'HGC' around on your tongue. It sounds real nice, doesn't it? I think it's the 'C' on the end that does it.

About The Pantheon

From the publisher's feed

Where gods go to die. The Pantheon is a collection of my own writings, transcribed into audio format. These are meant primarily to entertain, of course, but also to help the people of today carve some…
