Poni claimed a big name player is off the Steelers draft board. That name is Devonte Wyatt, the ‘other’ Georgia defensive tackle along with Jordan Davis. Wyatt has a trespassing charge, which brings up obvious red flags. The guys looked back to some examples of players in trouble with the law that the Steelers kept around, but the difference – those players were already on the roster before any trouble arose. The guys then got into some trouble they avoided or didn’t avoid in their college years.

We are ONE week from the NFL Draft and the guys have their predictions. Chris wants Jordan Davis to be the Steelers pick at 20. Poni wants Kenny Pickett and said if Pickett is the pick, the Steelers will win more than three playoff games in the next 10 years. The guys then went back into the history book and graded Steelers first round picks over the last decade.

Former Ohio State linebacker turned analyst, Bobby Carpenter joined the show. Bobby talked about his draft experience from 2006 when he went 18th overall to the Dallas Cowboys. Bobby broke down what he saw from Malik Willis this season after witnessing a few Liberty games in 2021. He said the Liberty offense put a lot on Willis and he had to make everything worked. He made a comparison to Steph Curry from his run in the NCAA Tournament. Bobby gave his thoughts on the Baker Mayfield rumors. The former Buckeye got asked about the two first round wide receiver prospects and how they will translate to the NFL.

Hugh Freeze was on CBS Sports Radio talking up his QB, Malik Willis. The guys dove in to what type of player Willis is and if he’s worth the risk of the 20th pick. Freeze said he knows the Steelers, among other teams, like Willis. 

The Deebo Samuel trade request is the big news of the NFL day. The guys breakdown how that could impact the Steelers and the league if a move is made.

He gave insight on Desmond Ridder and why the Steelers have interest there. He said it’s not a slam dunk that Deebo Samuel ends up being dealt after the 49ers receiver requested a trade.
