A very odd interaction between Bryant McFadden and Patrick Peterson on their podcast when it came down to the eventual QB competition. What does it mean? Will the competition be a sham again? Even though it hasn’t happened yet, Jason believes a deal for Edward Cabrera will happen before Opening Day and told us what he would bring to the rotation. Jason isn’t sure when the deal will get done, but obviously hopes it’s soon. Jason doesn’t see Henry Davis starting in AAA – in fact, he thinks he will be the starting catcher. Jason doesn’t think Davis will be a right fielder. Jason thinks the Pirates internally feel like they can be a team like the Diamondbacks of 2023.
