June 1st "The Power of You" turns ONE!
I can't even believe it! One whole year and almost 50 podcast episodes! 

I am so excited, and beyond grateful for everyone who comes back each week to listen to what I have to share here! I have absolutely loved being able to pour so much of myself into this podcast channel, and I really do appreciate the love and support I've been shown here. Thank you so much! <3

Also, since it's summer time.. I wanted to share this message with all of my mom friends who listen to this channel. Because, as a mom of three myself, I know summer time can feel 10Xs more chaotic and it can be really easy for you to not prioritize yourself.

But, let this be your reminder that prioritizing yourself, and your needs is NOT selfish. It's necessary.  And YOU DESERVE to take care of YOU too!!!

Oh my gosh! I am still in SHOCK and still processing the fact THIS IS HAPPENING!
This is NOT a drill! AHHHH!!

In today's episode, I am serving up a little *reality check*, and I know we don't like to hear stuff that will make us reflect inward... but sometimes, I know we need to hear it. 

So, let's talk about why you're not seeing the results you want.

I just recently had this conversation about why I wasn't seeing the results I am after, and it turns out, I am the one stopping myself. I am the one skipping steps that I know are important. I am the one avoiding the work I know needs to be done.
So, this was my reality check to myself too.

It might sting a little bit to hear the answer... but you know what needs to be done.

Imposter Syndrome... have you ever experienced this before?
Maybe you are feeling like everything you achieved was just by luck?
Maybe you feel like a fake, or a fraud, or like that you don't know what you are talking about?
Maybe you are discrediting all your accomplishments or success and don't feel like you deserve it.

Well, you deserve it ALL! You DO know what you are talking about and you worked HARD as heck to achieve all those things... SO DON'T FORGET IT! <3

But truthfully, Imposter Syndrome is something we all feel and experience from time to time. And this is something I am currently fighting through... so I want to share a few tips/things to do to help break you from this thought process if you ever find yourself in it.

Listen,  as someone who started her journey back in 2014 and really struggled with creating any type of consistency... I get it. It's hard.
It feels overwhelming, it can feel defeating, and it can feel like you take 5 steps forward, just to take 6 steps back. I get it, I really do.

And often, I like to put myself back in my shoes from when I first started my journey and ask myself, "What did that version of me need when I was first starting?"
This was it... I needed to hear that consistency didn't mean perfection.
I needed to hear that I didn't need to implement all or nothing.
I needed to hear that it's okay to take things slowly, and in pieces.
I needed to hear this.

In today's podcast episode I dive deep into something that can feel uncomfortable (I know it is for me), but recognizing it is a powerful step in addressing it <3

And that is, external validation, or, allowing others opinions to sway the decisions or choices we make for ourselves.

As a recovering people pleaser, I know not seeking that external validation to make everyone happy can be a challenge.
But the big question I want you to walk away from this episode today asking yourself is: Am I TRULY happy with my life? With my choices? With my decisions?

As I also mentioned in this episode, I have 5 reflection questions for you to also help you in recognizing and understanding your own self-worth. If you wish to journal on these questions, they are:

1. What are some of your proudest accomplishments or achievements, and why are they important to you?

2. How do you define self-worth, and what factors contribute to YOUR sense of self-worth?

3. Reflect on moments when you have felt confident, capable, and valuable. What were the circumstances that led to those feelings?

4. Consider any negative beliefs or self-doubts that may be impacting your self-worth. What evidence do you have to challenge or dispute those beliefs?

5. Imagine your ideal version of yourself. What qualities, values, and strengths would this version possess? How can you cultivate and nurture those aspects within yourself?

Again, I know this can be a hard thing to admit to yourself.. But just know, we are all human. We all experience these things from time to time, and you're not wrong for experiencing it.
Just know that you ARE so strong, and capable, and smart and beautiful, and powerful...
and your self-worth is NOT held in the hands of others, but within yourself.
