The most obvious and evident truths, in a society that rejects truth, become the most difficult truths to speak. We as a people are made to believe that the truths are actually lies, and that you should be ashamed to even think them. Like the kid with a girlfriend that "goes to another school" or the homeless guy committing stolen valor. They want truth speakers to be embarrassed, or even fearful to make a sound. If your "lie" cuts too far into the narrative, you shall be assured, it could be the end of your credibility, job, friendships, and place in society. In my experience, once you say the "unsayable", you do feel awfully embarrassed. You feel embarrassed at being afraid to say something so obvious, so irrefutable. You do feel ashamed, ashamed that it took you so long to say it, or post it on the internet for all to see.
Well, friends, in this episode I believe I am speaking one of those truths. It isn't my discovery, and I am far from the first to say it. I am sure it has been said in Churches, homes, and conservative talk shows countless times this week. Nevertheless, I feel the need to ponder it and express it for those of you that still are not convinced, or still consider it a lie.
I am talking about women's place in society... the reason women exist … their Purpose.
I still approach the topic from a man's perspective and I highlight the responsibility that men have to uphold this truth. It is with great emphasis and passion that I call men to the mat, imploring them to support and reinforce their wives' proper state of being... Pregnant, Barefoot, & In The Kitchen.
