In this bonus episode, we hear from the talented Ian Furness from Sports Radio 950 KJR and Q13 Fox Seattle as we discuss how he is striving to become the ultimate QB of his household.  Specifically in this episode, we talk about both of his kids, specifically the challenges that his son, Kiefer, went through with T1 Diabetes.   We will hear the story of the ups and downs of this journey and also hear about the support from the community and even the Seattle Sounders, Jordan Morris.

Ian shares the difficult phone call him that he and his wife heard from their doctor when the initial diagnosis of T1D happened.  He also shares that we as parents need to look for signs when things might not seem right with our kids.  Keep pushing and let your curiosity uncover potential challenges that might be facing your children.

In Episode 23, we hear from the very talented and smart, Glen Allison who is the COO of Honey.  They are one of the hottest companies in today's market and they were just acquired by PayPal earlier this year.  

Glen is someone I met over 20 years ago on a vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  We stayed in touch over the years and years and saw each other grow and mature in both of our careers.  Unfortunately, Glen and his wife eventually went through a divorce, and today we hear the story of how Glen consistently chose the positive and did what was right for his daughter.  It's one of the most unselfish stories and I'm proud to call Glen a friend.

In this bonus episode, we hear from Scott Miller who is the Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Thought Leadership for Franklin Covey.  One of the highlights for me personally was getting to interview someone who worked for Dr. Stephen Covey, the author of one of the most famous books of all-time, "7 Habits of Highly Successful People."  He is also a Wall Street Journal best-selling author of his latest book, "Management Mess to Leadership Success: 30 Challenges to Become the Leader You Would Follow." He's been featured on hundreds of podcasts and we are thankful he has chosen to come on The Quarterback DadCast.

But, today, we get to learn more about Scott the Dad and how he has used he owns messes per se, to teach those same values to his three children.    One of the highlights of this episode is when Scott shares great wisdom by saying that "nearly all conflict in life, comes from mismatched and unfilled expectations."

In episode 21, you get to hear from a very dynamic father who is an author and speaker.  He is as open and vulnerable as any guest we've had on the QB DadCast and I believe you will love his humility and vulnerability that Cletus Coffeyshares.  After his parents divorced, and the death of my baby sister, Cletus shares how he internalized his grief and pain, by channeling all of his energy into finding happiness and success in sports.   He was a three-sport athlete throughout high school and when it was over, his success in sports had him wanting more. 

After a successful four years in college as a two-sport student-athlete, he walked away with his degree and a burning desire to continue his athletic career.  You will hear his story and learn how divorce impacted him as a father too.  Cletus shares so many great nuggets of wisdom and I hope you enjoy this very authentic and vulnerable episode on the QB DadCast.

Today, you get to hear a conversation that Pete and I have never had as we discuss the challenging time when Pete was 16 years old and had to receive the unfortunate news of losing his father to a drunk driving accident.  The pain is still real in Pete's voice and I am so thankful for his vulnerability and humility in sharing his story with me.  We learn from Pete how that experience impacted him at a young age and also how it has impacted him as a father today.

In this bonus episode, we get to hear from a friend that I met on a remote island called Cuttyhunk.  It’s the gem of an island that keeps people grounded and allows for time to stand still.  Yes, it sounds odd, but you have to trust me on this.

He has been married to Jennifer Warr since June 14, 2003, and they have an awesome son named Oliver who is the biggest Buffalo Bills fan. Sorry, Andy!

Throughout this episode, we hear amazing advice that Andy's parents shared with him regarding values that he and Jenn are now passing down to Oliver.  The power of patience, listening, and being present along with the value of networking are amazing qualities that they are looking to teach and share with their son.
