April 14, 2023 "Shout it from the rooftops- therapy is being changed, and not for the better," with Val Thomas
Dr Val Thomas is a UK-based psychotherapist, writer and formerly a
counsellor educator. Her specialism is applications of mental imagery.
She is the author of two Routledge publications: Using Mental Imagery in
Counselling and Psychotherapy (2015) and Using Mental Imagery to
Enhance Creative and Work-Related Processes (2019). She co-founded and
currently runs Critical Therapy Antidote, an international platform for
academics and therapists who are concerned with the encroachments of
Critical Social Justice into the therapy professions. She is the editor
of a recent anthology of essays titled Cynical Therapies: Perspectives
on the Antitherapeutic Nature of Critical Social Justice.
I was delighted to talk with Val, and am immensely grateful to her, as
she has been a source of inspiration and hope to me through her writing
and her work in developing the CTA network.

David is a Trainee Clinical Psychologist with a broad background working in mental health services in the UK. He has spoken out against authoritarian attempts to force adherence to CSJ ideologies at University. March 23, 2023 Groupthink, and how people can hurt one another while feeling they are doing good, with Dr. Kirsty Miller
Kirsty Miller, PhD, is a lecturer based in Scotland. After completing a
PhD in social and clinical psychology, her interests turned to
investigating the dangers of groupthink and ideological conformity
within academia. She is committed to open enquiry in science, is a
member of The Heterodox Academy, The Society for Open Inquiry in the
Behavioural Sciences, and is working towards protecting psychology and
academia from the excesses of critical social justice.
Today we talked about the manipulative language of Critical Social
Justice, how universities capitulate to the demands of
students instead of supporting evidence-based teaching, and how
in-group/out-group dynamics have factored into historical and modern
cultural movements.

Carob Bartholomew is a mother and an advocate representing multiple
