During a recent visit to NYC, I received a beautiful reminder of my purpose. The need for diversity and representation spans every sector, circumstance, and situation in this country, from Broadway to plant-based nutrition. This NYC experience was a great reminder of why I started The Plant Protocol™.
Very few of us can chart a course for others to go. Even fewer want to be the ones to pave the way. However, if you are someone who has overcome and succeeded - you are required to become a possibility model. It is necessary. It is your responsibility. It is your calling.

In this episode, I'm talking about one of my favorite subjects--radical obedience.
Radical obedience is living life on your own terms and only doing what you were uniquely called to do. For a lot of people, this can be a tall order, which is why so many are not pursuing their true desires.
Once you become aware of your unique assignment and make the decision to pursue and execute it, continuous adjustments are required to stay aligned with your calling.
Today I want to share with you three ways your unique assignment will apply pressure so that you are acquainted with what's truly required to live a life of radical obedience.

It has been my dream to see nutrition, specifically plant-based nutrition, used in other sectors outside of just our physical health, like weight loss, hypertension and high cholesterol, but for people to really understand that if we're battling mental health challenges, what we're eating is having a direct impact.
For those of us who have done all of the hard work to adopt a whole food, plant-based lifestyle, I truly believe that we have a responsibility to share our testimony because even though there are a ton of us migrating to this lifestyle-- it's still viewed as an alternative, elitist lifestyle that is difficult, expensive, unrealistic, and impractical to maintain.
And so if you have done the work to give up chicken, fish, butter, eggs, and dairy for the sake of your quality of life, then you should be sharing that, especially with marginalized communities that are disproportionately suffering from chronic diseases.
And so, in this episode, I'm sharing my plant-based origin story and how I'm continuing to leverage it to help people and increase my proximity to their transformation.

If you are new here and need a reminder or a better understanding of the power of a whole-food, plant-based diet and the quality of your health, let me remind you.
I teach, promote and live as a whole-food, plant-based vegan because of the evidence which shows that when we consume the inflammatory properties of animal products, it increases our chances of disease, deficiency, premature death, or disability.
Many of us live with conditions, excess weight, pain, and suffering that we don't have to. Just because you can live with the disease doesn't mean you should.
In this episode, I talk about the power of plants and revisit the reasons why a whole-food, plant-based diet is so powerful for optimal health, longevity, disease prevention, and disease reversal.

When you live a life that’s wracked by fear and insecurity, it can be easy to find yourself settling for opportunities that don’t really suit who you are or what you want. This can lead to one of the biggest challenges that most people have, which is not feeling like they're good enough. But today, I want to talk to the rest of you.
I want to talk to the people who believe they are good enough and that good enough may actually be getting in the way of them excelling.
When you are at the top of the food chain in your ecosystem and people look up to you, yet you're not seeing an opportunity to excel, you are likely settling because unfortunately, your good has become the enemy of your great.
Your goodness is stifling your greatness. You have reached the top of the food chain where everyone taps into you for information but there's no one for you to tap into. As a result, there is no room for you to grow.
If this is you, tune in to this episode as I share exactly what you need to do in order to get out of this cycle.

We all have goals, and I suspect that most of us have access to the resources, tools, and information necessary to accomplish our goals.
However, when we have goals that we want to achieve, I’ve noticed something.
There are two pivotal questions that should be asked when we have goals, but what I’ve noticed is that most people only ask one of the two questions. We almost always want to know, what do I need to do? Then we try to tap into the resources, tools, and information that is available to us.
And then we begin to think –
Why am I not accomplishing this goal?
Why am I not nailing my goals as quickly as I would like?
I am going to answer those questions for you.
In this episode, we're focusing on that second pivotal question, Who do I need to become? And I am sharing with you three ways to BECOME who you need to be in order to accomplish your goal. This episode is a sequel to episode 16. If you haven’t already, start by listening to episode 16 entitled: Got Goals? Here’s The Most Important Question You Should Be Asking.

Your health is an asset if it adds to the value of your life if it aids in helping you do everything you desire and needs to do to live the life you desire.
Your health is a liability if it takes from your ability to live the life you desire.
For some people, it is crystal clear whether their health is a liability or an asset. For others, it is not. I want to help you get super clear, so listen in as I share a framework with which you can determine for yourself, or if you're a coach, you can help your clients identify whether or not their health is a liability versus an asset.
This is a framework that we teach to our students at the PHARM TO TABLE™ Plant-Based coaching Program called CQC. And I want to introduce this framework to you so that you know the amount of effort you need to put into getting back to a place of optimal health.

Today’s conversation is all about goals.
We all have them and usually when we set out to accomplish our goals we focus on convenience, strategy, and process to succeed in our endeavor.
We make the assumption that because we ask questions about what needs to be done, once we have the steps, we have all that we need. There is a missing link between exiting from the undesirable circumstance and entering into the desirable circumstance.
Press play to learn the most important question we should be asking to successfully execute and sustain our goals.

In a world obsessed with control, performance, and productivity, many high-achieving leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals find themselves exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the life they worked so hard to build.
Hosted by Lisa A. Smith, MBA, The Radical Obedience® Podcast challenges the belief that success requires sacrifice, stress, or self-abandonment. Through powerful conversations, practical wisdom, personal stories, and transformational insights, you'll learn how chronic stress is often the result of resisting what you already know you need to do.
Each episode will help you develop the courage to trust yourself, honor your convictions, and embrace complete surrender—not as weakness, but as a strategy for peace, purpose, and sustainable success.
If you're tired of managing burnout and chronic stress and ready to eliminate it at the root, you're in the right place.
Because sometimes the breakthrough you're seeking isn't found in doing more.
It's found in surrendering completely.
