In today's episode, I'm peeling back the layers and exposing the raw GRIEF I’m currently going through AND how I’m dealing with it, trying to learn from it and somehow find purpose in it.
This week is not a 1:1 like others you’ve heard from me, but it’s something I need to talk about. And it’s something you need to hear and reflect upon because, sooner or later, the finality of death touches us all.
My dear friend, Jessie Lee Ward passed away earlier this week from cancer.
She was 34 years old. Only 34 years old.
If you follow me here, you know how special she was to me. Whether you are grieving her death as I am or if you are grieving for any other loss in your life, take comfort in knowing grief is a sign that LOVE is greater than death.
Grief and death are experiences that every single person on this planet will go through and so is THIS EPISODE is for EVERYONE. I’m sharing my experience with grief IN REAL TIME and sharing how to find comfort even in moments of despair.
Let this also serve as a reminder that nothing is promised.
The truth is, you have less time on this Earth than you think. So live your life with a sense of urgency, and honor those who are no longer in your life by continuing to grow until your last day comes…
…because eventually, it will.
Live your life with a focus on what really matters. And what matters the most is PEOPLE…your family, loved ones, friends, and YOU.
Yes, YOU.
Be kind to yourself. Take time for yourself.
It’s okay to say “no” even when everyone else wants a “yes” out of you.
Jessie Lee Ward… I will never forget the impact you had on my life and the lives of so many others. Rest in peace. Rest in heaven. You are home. My prayers are with you and your family.
Like so many others who feel the same way… Jessie Lee, I love you and will miss you dearly.
