In this episode of The Real Build, I wanted to talk about a topic that recently came to my mind that is crucial for builders. Builders need to make their presence known. This topic came to mind because I wrote my yearly Christmas cards, which I send to past customers every year. I don’t have to do this because it takes a lot of time to handwrite them.
So why do I do this? Because I want to offer them something, to make past clients see that we are still here to help even though we built their homes many years ago. We always send out a regular printed card, but I also take the time to do handwritten cards.
The problem is many builders don’t take the time to do this when they should. It helps you stay top of mind. There are many things we as builders can do to stay top of mind. Here are a few examples I cover

Showcase why you are different than other builders - clean job sites, details, quality
Podcast like this - send it out to customers, post it to your website; it's a giant source I can utilize to help my customers learn!
Customer events for appreciation - something I want to start doing and have talked to other builders about - Model home events
Newsletters with all video content
Attend events at your city and be recognized
All these things have had a massive impact on my business in both real estate and construction.
