  • MHFP 081: What Does Creativity Have to Do with Improving Fertility with Michelle Oravitz
A lot of times when I meet with people who are interested in connecting with their spirit baby, spirit baby talks a lot about creativity. And in this episode, we're joined by Michelle Oravitz from The Wholesome Lotus and we're going to be talking about why creativity and the energy of creativity affects one's fertility.

    About Michelle:
Michelle Oravitz is a fertility acupuncturist who decided to change her career from architecture to natural medicine in the early 2000’s. It was not until her life was transformed by acupuncture, that she thought of changing her career from architecture to natural medicine. Michelle suffered from missed periods from the time she was thirteen. After years of being prescribed the birth control pill by Western medicine doctors and then coming off the pill to continued missed periods, she decided to go to an acupuncturist named Dr. Li who immediately regulated her cycle.

Michelle also noticed that the acupuncture created a sense of wellbeing and that her energy increased. It was this transforming event that inspired her to learn Ayurveda and later Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also realized that had it not been for Dr. Li, she would have struggled for many years to get pregnant. This realization, and a natural fascination to learn about fertility drew her to specialize in fertility wellness. She is passionate about empowering women and couples to take ownership of their health and wellness.

Her method of treatment encompasses not only herbs and acupuncture, but also incorporates diet, supplements, essential oils, and most importantly the mind and how it influences conception.

Michelle is the host of ‘The Wholesome Fertility Podcast’ where she features leading professionals from the fertility world along with her own fertility wellness tips to her listeners.

  • MHFP 080: Don’t Just Do Something, Stand There!

  • MHFP 079: Art-ing Your Way Through Infertility with Jasmine Katatikarn
A lot of us in the fertility journey often find that we can create meaning out of our experience by helping other people who are dealing with the same thing and today’s guest, Jasmine from Jazzkatat.com has a really interesting and unique approach in this.

    About Jasmine:
I’m Jasmine Katatikarn, aka “JazzKatat.” I’m an ACC Certified Coach, Life Strategist, and Animation Artist. I help women release the emotions, stress, and pure exhaustion of their fertility journey easily by approaching it with a mindset of an artist so they can live a life where no obstacle will ever get in their way of being “happy.”

As an artist, I have the skills to find creative solutions to any problem. I use these skills in my profession as a lighting artist for computer-animated films, as well as in my everyday life through photography, family life, and entrepreneurial ventures.

But the real superpower of an artist is not the creative work itself, but the ability to use the same skills to affect overall happiness.

Instead of accepting that there is nothing to be done when given an impossible situation and feeling defeated, I see the opposite – I look for the potential and hidden beauty in the situation to solve the problem. I think of multiple alternatives and start testing, visualizing, and iterating multiple solutions and reframing what a perfect life means. Life is full of imperfections, and rarely does everything work out as planned.

We can choose to focus on the negative aspects of those imperfections or focus on beauty, on how we can use these imperfections to create something even better. We can think like a designer to create a beautiful work of art, or in this case, a beautiful life based on how we approach and take actionable steps to facing our obstacles.

This is my goal every day, and my mission to help you with your fertility journey and life. Life is not perfect, but we have the power to design our version of “Perfect.”

This creative mindset is how I approached my fertility journey that resulted in getting pregnant only months after I was given a less than 1% chance of having a child.

In a time where medical terms surround much of the discussion around fertility, what meds to take, what foods to eat, what exercises to do, and everything in-between. It’s a breath of fresh air to get a completely different perspective that can effectively give you easy control over your fertility journey.

I am here to share with you the artist’s mindset so that you can easily apply what I did to your fertility journey and life moving forward.

Here is what is covered in today's episode:

    - Jasmine’s fertility journey
    - Finding multiple creative solutions in the fertility journey
    - Sharing the approach Jasmine took through a free fertility training
