  • I am Making a Business Transition to Have a Bigger Impact
My Personal Brand Journey is Definitely Atypical. It Has Been Built from a Place of Service and to Have an Even Bigger Impact, I am Undergoing a Business Transition. Business transitions, like building a personal brand, can be challenging but like I always say, they don't have to be. One of the key components of building a successful personal brand and business is to be authentic, true to your values, and open to change. Through the years, that is exactly what I've done. I've followed callings and opened many doors of opportunity to land where I am today. My Personal Brand Began with a Major Business Transition from Pharmacist to Photographer Eleven years ago I left my medical career and put my doctorate of pharmacy hat on a shelf will all of my medical references. Life was crazy busy with my husband traveling, me traveling and meeting deadlines as a freelance medical writer and consultant in the pharmaceutical industry, and our boys growing up and playing travel sports. Not to mention, our nanny for our then-toddler daughter, the only support we had, became ill and could no longer work for us. I have always had a love for photography, had taken many classes, and was passionate about it. In addition, it was my therapy, my escape when I was anxious or just needed time to myself. My husband recognized this and suggested I become a photographer. At the time I thought he was crazy. However, I embraced the idea and within six weeks of starting a photography blog, I had my first paying client. The job was for website and branding photography and I immediately fell in love. Instead of embracing the role of branding photographer, I took every job that came my way, family portraits, headshots, branding, senior portraits, product, and first communion portraits. The First Few Years in Business My Personal Brand Did Not Really Exist When I started my business I wanted to invest as little as possible. I tried to do everything myself. The problem was that I did not have a clue on what I needed to do or how to do it. I could take beautiful images, but running a successful photography business meant building a personal brand and doing a lot more than creating a basic website and relying on word of mouth to get clients. It wasn't until I created a personal brand that I started to see true success. Click here to read the full blog post and learn more about the transition I am making in my business.

  • Faith In Entrepreneurship, The Example Of The Proverbs 31 Woman
God Gave us An Example of a Successful Entrepreneur to Follow in Proverbs 31. We Can Employ Our Faith in Entrepreneurship. You, Entrepreneur, Are Worth More than Rubies It is possible to incorporate faith in entrepreneurship. We have an example with the Proverbs 31 woman. Proverbs 31 begins "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than Rubies." Whether you are a wife or not, you are worth more than rubies. Your worth is not founded on earthly success, looks, or follower count. God values you, loves you, and holds you safe no matter your earthly status. Recognizing your worth in God's eyes is important for answering your calling and believing that God will guide you along your journey. Discover Your Purpose, Your Calling The Proverbs woman worked with eager hands. She always made sure that all were provided for. As entrepreneurs today, we are called to serve whether for our clients, families, or others. The ability to serve comes from clarity and confidence in our calling, our purpose. You've heard me mention my equation for identifying purpose, Values + Visions + Passions = Purpose. If you haven't identified your calling or are struggling with clarity, I suggest you grab a pen and paper and make three lists. List your values, your visions, and your passions. Somewhere on those lists, there will be similarities, and where those similarities fall, is where you will identify your calling or purpose. Before doing this exercise, pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you, to give you the wisdom that the Proverbs 31 woman had. Click here to read the full blog post. Follow me on Instagram

  • How to Recognize and Recover from Burnout
What Is Burnout? How Can You Recognize It? And How Can You Recover From It? One major sign of burnout is waking up every day feeling apathetic. That feeling of nothing goes my way, I have a black crowd over my head, feeling exhausted, barely able to get myself out of bed, or crashing at the end of the day. Likewise, a lot of times people who experience burnout have frequent colds, gut health issues, or autoimmune diseases are triggered. Ultimately, stress causes illness and disease in the body. Emotional flare-ups occur more frequently when burnout is present. People are triggered more easily with emotions such as guilt, shame, or embarrassment. These are all signs of burnout. Stress Versus Burnout Stress is short-term. You may stretch yourself thin, push yourself beyond your limits for a short period of time, but then are able to come back to center, regroup, or recover and then maybe do it again. Burnout is when you have a prolonged period of excessive stress that doesn't end. You stay consistently stressed over a longer period of time. The body can acclimate to this level of stress and people live in this one trajectory never realizing they are burning themselves out. In episode 130 Nicole Laino talked about feminine vs. male energy and how as women, we are doers. We get into the mode of doing and don't take the time to simply be, and recognize that we have to step away in order to move forward. Click Here to Read the Full Blog Post and Access Links

  • How to Write Copy That Converts
Personality-Driven Copy Is Copy That Converts! Communicate What Makes You Unique. Differentiate Yourself From Others In Your Area Of Expertise. The first step in creating copy that converts it so talk about what makes you weird. What makes you unique in a competitive space? It takes more to stand out today in the online world. Communicating who you are and the multi-faceted brand that you have created is important to connect with as many people in your audience as possible. People will connect with you on different levels so the more you share, the more opportunity you have to connect. People can't make connections and get to know you, like you, and trust you, if you don't share. We are often afraid to share or don't know what to share, but it is truly important to share so that our audience can get to know who we are and how we can help them. How Much Do We Share in Our Copy To Bring People In Instead of Put Them Off? It is good to talk about being anxious about something, maybe something most people don't feel anxious about. What was that moment and how did you feel? This can become an email or social media content. Highlight the way that is your superpower. Because of those factors, you can solve X and do Y for your audience. Lean into the aspects of yourself that you feel are weird because most likely those lead to your superpowers. Being an introvert won't repel extroverts. And intuition is key for helping others solve their problems. When talking about traveling and vacations, think about the message you are relaying. You want to inspire others to achieve something but not appear like you are bragging. Think about the feelings you are evoking from your audience so that they don't feel like they have a lack, but that they can achieve it too. It is important to highlight the good and the messes. The successes and the anxieties. Sharing both will help you connect with your entire audience. Your audience is more likely to grow if you share all sides of you and your business. • What You Need to Know to Successfully Run Facebook and Instagram Ads
Dispelling the Myths Around Facebook Ads - Do They Work? How Do They Work, And Can We See an ROI On Facebook and Instagram Ads if We Do Them Ourselves? How To Use Facebook and Instagram Ads For Growing Our Email Marketing Lists There are two main strategies that Jaymie uses to drive traffic to email marketing lists. Using a Freebie - give free value or a free gift that showcases your talents and expertise and solves a pain point for your customer. You want to offer a solution to their pain point. After you have someone sign up for the freebie, you can offer a low-ticket item, something between $7 and $37. About 1% to 10% of your audience who opts into the freebie will purchase the low-ticket item and this is how you cover your ad cost. Run ads to a low-ticket offer - these are also known as self-liquidating or slow funnel offers. These ads go to cold traffic, but it is so juicy and they want it that they will readily pay $7 to $37 for it. When you run an ad for a low ticket item, you often don't make money, but may break even. This isn't about making money, but building your email list. This strategy brings people in who are immediately buying from you and will immediately see how good your content is and be excited to take the next step to work with you. If you have a good enough offer, you can sell to cold leads. If people need the solution, they will buy it. Three Main Things You have to Nail to Make Facebook and Instagram Ads Work Offer - know the pain point to offer the right thing Audience - know the audience and know what their pain point is Messaging - messaging targets the right audience and gives them clarity on the pain point you can solve for them Learn as much about your audience as possible. What are their wants and needs? And what are they struggling with? If you are clear on what your audience needs, you can make ads work for you. Click here to read the full blog post and access links.

  • Is Your Money Mindset Holding You Back From Success?
The Biggest Struggles That Moms In Business Experience We think that as moms we have to be martyrs for our family, and the same for our businesses and self-care is often put to the wayside. Aria helps women in the MOB Nation to start pouring back into themselves. Self-care is a mandatory investment for you to be successful as a parent and in business. It's important to remember that our happiness doesn't have to come last. And your value isn't dependent on productivity. Even charging your worth is an act of self-care. Self-Worth And Money Mindset As women we get intimidated with all we see online, comparison and imposter syndrome affect our mindset. Without self-worth, we can't have a positive mindset. When we are really good at something, it feels like it comes so naturally so we discount the unique power we have and discount the compensation for it. Just because it comes easy to you, doesn't mean it isn't valuable and worth charging for. If you are struggling to find what it is that you do well, look at the questions people ask you to pick your brain about. It is important to protect your energy and knowledge so that you can save that energy for your own business, your own content. It's important to respect other people's gifts as valuable and to pay for the value, as well as to charge for the value. Compensating women for their gifts and knowledge will help more women succeed. The Common Thread Of Money Mindset What is holding women back from having a positive money mindset? There are many outdated societal stories about money being the root of all evil, etc. Therefore, tapping into the feminine energy around money is how you change to make an impact and change the world. Money is a tool. If we can get more money in the hands of more women who have that good-hearted, empathetic, compassionate vibration, that is how we change the world with our spending power and compensate the world. When you have a good income, you can hire other women. There are many ways we can make a difference by having more money and helping others. You can make a difference and make money and can make an even bigger difference if you make more money. Click here to read the complete show notes and for links referenced.
