The Rosary in a Year (with Fr. Mark-Mary Ames)

In prayer, we focus on the third Sorrowful Mystery, the Crowning with Thorns, and the fourth Sorrowful Mystery, the Carrying of the Cross. In the mockery of Jesus as King, we behold the profound humility and suffering He freely embraces. On the road to Calvary, we reflect on His encounter with Simon of Cyrene, who shares in the weight of the cross and meets salvation face to face. These mysteries draw us into deeper surrender as we say yes to carrying our own crosses each day in union with Christ. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Crowning with Thorns and the Carrying of the Cross and we will be praying two decades of the Rosary.

As we enter into the sorrowful mysteries of Christ’s Passion, we reflect on His agony in the garden and His scourging at the pillar. We see Jesus pleading with the Father in solitude, embracing the Father’s will despite the weight of sorrow, and freely choosing to suffer for our salvation. Through these mysteries, we are called to receive His sacrifice not with indifference, but with grateful hearts open to the transforming gift of His love. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Agony in the Garden and the Scourging at the Pillar and we will be praying two decades of the Rosary.

Leading us in prayer, Fr. Mark-Mark reflects on the Transfiguration and the gift of the Eucharist as these moments reveal Jesus’ divine identity and His enduring presence. We witness Jesus revealed in glory before the apostles on the mountain, affirmed by the voice of the Father and flanked by Moses and Elijah as the fulfillment of the law and prophets. Then, at the Last Supper, we behold the depth of His love as He gives Himself entirely in the Eucharist. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Transfiguration and Institution of the Eucharist and we will be praying two decades of the Rosary.

Fr. Mark-Mary invites us into a prayerful meditation on Jesus’ miracle at the Weeding in Cana and His proclamation of the Kingdom of God. At the wedding, we reflect on Mary’s attentiveness and Jesus’ willingness to act, stepping into His public ministry with generous love. As we hear the call to conversion, we’re reminded that Jesus Himself is the Kingdom made visible, drawing us closer through His words, His presence, and His saving work. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Wedding Feast at Cana and Proclamation of the Kingdom and Call to Conversion and we will be praying two decades of the Rosary.

As we meditate on these events, we are reminded of our own call to draw near to the Father and live in the light of His presence. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Finding of Jesus in the Temple and Baptism of Jesus and we will be praying two decades of the Rosary.

In today’s episode, we continue praying simply and slowly with the mysteries themselves. Fr. Mark-Mary guides us in reflecting on the birth of Jesus, God made flesh, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and the joy and warmth surrounding the Nativity. We then turn to the Presentation in the Temple, where Simeon and Anna recognize the Messiah and Mary hears the first prophecy of her coming sorrow. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Nativity and the Presentation, and we will be praying two decades of the Rosary.
