In Waukegan, Illinois, Robert Crimo Jr., the father of the man facing charges in a deadly Fourth of July parade shooting, pleaded guilty to seven misdemeanors. These charges revolved around how his son obtained a gun license. Rather than going to trial, Crimo Jr. entered his plea in Lake County court and was promptly sentenced by Judge George Strickland to 60 days in jail, beginning next week, along with 100 hours of community service. Initially facing seven felony counts of reckless conduct, one for each victim his son, Robert Crimo III, is accused of killing in Highland Park on Independence Day 2022.
