The Sister District Project with Founder and Exec. Director, Rita Bosworth

Listen Later

Rita Bosworth was driven to start The Sister District Project, an organization dedicated turning states blue by winning state legislative elections, shortly following the 2016 election. By controlling the balance in state legislative seats, Democrats will have more power to create fairer redistrciting maps, stop extreme partisan gerrymandering, create a more balanced Congress, and even stop and reverse Draconian anti-abortion laws. Winning state legislative races is where the real power lies.

In this conversation we explore why she founded The Sister District project and why it's crucial to support state legislative races in order to reverse the course of the country and move in a more progressive direction. Visit The Sister District project to volunteer and help win upcoming legislative races.
